(Old) OK, I’ll Start the MMP

One place where we lived in FL had a streetlight in the yard that we were charged for because the previous owners had it installed. We didn’t want it - not only because of the monthly cost, but it made Daughter’s bedroom bright all night long. So we had it removed. Less than a week later, the neighbors on that side had it replaced (at their expense) because it lit up their driveway. I think they were very unhappy with us.

Today starts with an amazing 41 Ferrets!! That probably explains why I didn’t hear the furnace coming on as much as it had been. It’ll get close to 50 Ferrets today, and except for a couple of days, we should be in the 50s for the next few weeks. So, getting back to normal-ish.

I never heard back from the pellet stove folks, but the woman I’d spoken to said they were short-handed yesterday, so no big surprise. I’ll call again today. I need to call Hyundai about a notice I got a couple of weeks ago about a software update. Another case where I was promised a call back and never got it.

Tobias will be here in the next 80-90 minutes. SIL said yesterday he was almost acting normal, and after multiple doses of antibiotics, I figure he’ll be as close to normal as any 4-y/o can be. Not sure how I’ll need to entertain him - hope I don’t have to spend the day watching Paw Patrol.

And so the day begins. Happy Wednesday!!

I’ve had two cups of coffee, but I still feel drowsy and foggy. Outside, it’s 30 degrees F, which is very close to the predicted high for today. Cloudy, Claudia, Claudio, send in the clowns.

Off to the cardiologist ( would that this was someone who studied cardi b).
I went in Nov. But there doesnt seem to be skipped beats anymore.
Its 30 and cloudy.

The weatherguessers say we won’t have more than 40 until Washington’s Birthday. They also say there’s a 30% chance of snow the night before, and a 30% chance of rain on the day itself.

Went to see mine last week. No problems to report to her; follow-up sked for early August. Next appointment is with neurology, in June.

And so begins another day of premeditated sloth… .

40f in philly. crazy!

we have a 30-40% chance of snow/rain for presidents day.

Good morning all. Stayed in bed until 7:45am and woke to a wet (but the rain has departed) outside, so staying inside seems like a good idea. Major mission for the day is to pick up my prescription refills at Wal-Greens, I am without medication today but think I can manage without the two tiny pill for a little bit. Outside of that some house-irk and the usual gym stuff is all that is planned. 51F heading to 58F so cooler than the last couple of days but still pretty easy on the heating bill.

Catching up on the news of the MMP…

Van Go, at least you know they have enough work to keep you employed for the future (one hopes). Good luck on the projects.

boo fae, sounds like some office challenges, hope the clock runs slow for you to get them done (it never does, I swear the damn thing sped up when I had a deadline). And glad the battery replacement solved the problem!

Hippie, glad the plumbing is doing it’s job, hopefully once the bill is paid (ouch!) those problems will be in the past.

FCM, no streetlight but most folks here have a couple lights on their garages they leave on most of the night. I do when I remember (and then remember to shut them off) but mostly rely on an indoor light shining out the window to show occupation. Happy Toby-Day.

Si, Si, Senor…

Coppertone, hope heart doc gives you a clean bill of health.

And that’s all for now. Need to confirm I have awoken and consider what to break my fast with. Have a good Hump Day all.

Good morning, everyone.

It’s 38F and cloudy. By afternoon, we’ll have mostly sunny skies and a daytime high of 50F.

I hope Tobias is feeling better today, FCM.

Hippy, so glad everything is working well with the new plumbing.

BooFae, yay for a new battery and working transportation! How much longer do you need to cover for the holidaying minion?

Yesterday, we went to the ophthalmologist and planned to visit the deli afterward. The visit to the deli didn’t happen because of eye drops and light sensitivity. It was very bright outside yesterday, too. At any rate, the cataract surgery will happen, and they will do both eyes at the same time. The schedulers will call to set up a date.

Mr. Taters mentioned their concern for his high blood pressure reading, and blew me off when I questioned further. I also asked about the kinds of lenses he’s getting and he told me he’s getting lenses to help with distance, but will need glasses for up close. I asked about multifocal lenses and he blew me off again.

This morning, I looked up his history notes because the scheduler didn’t call. In looking at the notes, I found out they will call us in the next FOUR weeks, and his blood pressure was ludicrously and dangerously high. I also found out they offered a multifocal lens, but he declined. I will need to talk to him today about what I read. He is going to need to see a doctor about the BP. He cannot see at all, so I am hoping we hear something sooner rather than later.

My ankle wrap/brace arrived yesterday and that helped with the swelling and pain a great deal.

I’m getting hair done today, and will probably stop for groceries afterward. That’s about all I have planned. I may go look at cell phones, too. I want to hold them in my hand. I know what I want, but I still want to see it in person before I commit to purchasing one.

Okay, time to finish my coffee. You can take care of yourselves.

He’s away until the end of next week, back in work next Friday. I managed to get everything done despite the best attempts of academics to thwart my plans! We had to get one person to cover someone else’s work just to get it all done in time, but everything has now been returned to students and we can celebrate not being on the Naughty List

Perhaps you should take it off and beat Mr Taters around the head with it….

Yay! Keith’s back on his wheels.

Yay! Water pressure rocks!

Up, caffeinating, breakfasted and fixing to do KP. Sis should be here around nine-ish to supervise my shower, then we’ll go to Staples, the post office and the pharmacy before she heads to the supermarket. Such excitement!

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Provide a Ride called an Uber. Driver cancelled.
Next appointment April.

Up, fed, yoga’d, showered, and feeling human.

The loader ofr Top Green was out so they clown card-ed us around. They put Ian in Top Green, put me in Top Red, and put Southside Chris in my Middle White. It was busy, 800+ pieces and 12 tires. Plus The Supreme Shouting Officer was shouting aover the radio about wanting it all done yesterday. Woman, let’s see you fling around a bunch of 55lbs. Pirellis. I had to make a run to Lowes for a vacuum and a lamp. The old vac had wire showing through the cord, and the lightty bit on the lamp was loose and blinking the bulb. A bit disappointed about the 4 year old vacuum, but considering the lamp was part of a 3 piece :open_mouth:Wally World :open_mouth: set I got for $25 15 years ago, I got my money’s worth on that. And Maintenance is draining the pool.

Totally drained and dead inside? We’ve all been there. Glad it was an easy fix.

NONONONONONONO, we got too many clowns already.

Good, but nothing wrong with a followup..

Is he trying to out -FCD FCD?

Made a mistake this morning. We were signed up to go on an outing to a restaurant for brunch, so breakfast was just a piece of toast and coffee. My mistake was that I did my usual routine of taking my morning meds, which includes BP and diabetes, forgetting that my stomach was pretty empty. By the time we got our food at the restaurant, my blood sugar and blood pressure had plummeted. I shoveled my food in pretty quickly and rebounded, so that was good. We had an excellent server who wrote nothing down, remembering what each of the five of us ordered. I think a nap may be in order soon.

Fifty Ferrets with abundant sunshine! It was a tad chilly walking to the mailbox, but it could have been worse.

Tobias has been taken home. Apart from cuddling with me while we watched Paw Patrol Mighty Pups movie (again…) and half of the Minecraft movie (OMG, how idiotic!!) Tobias was mostly his usual 4-y/o self. We even played “basketball” in the basement where the basket was a huge box and he and I played against an imaginary team. We won, 10-5!! And the crowd went wild!!! Bottom line - he done wore me out!

Supper tonight is some smoked turkey from last Thanksgiving (from the freezer - we’re not savages!!) with rice-n-gravy and peas-n-carrots. So a pretty easy meal. Looks like the boat will go back in the water on Moanday or Tues. I’m meeting with my Navy friend next Thursday. Somewhere along the way, we want to go to a boat stuff store across the bay, so we need to arrange for day care for Otis.

The excitement never ends here!

About 50 ferrets, so we went for a 3-mile walk in a park. We’re now eating ice cream to be sure our body temperature doesn’t rise too quicky.

Sounds like a sensible plan.

Can you imagine 50 ferrets?

Brunch will bite your BG in the butt every time. Glad that you recuperated quickly.

Can’t be too careful! :stuck_out_tongue:

Sis and I went to Staples for a CO2 SodaStream cartridge exchange, to the post office, then to pick up a whole mess of prescriptions at CVS before she went to the grocery store. Next week, I’m going to try the grocery run, but with a store that has a handicapped scooter. I also got a shower! It was heavenly!

Evening all. Prescriptions have been collected, exercise has been completed, and dinner has been assimilated, so all is right with the world here. Temperature is at 50F and heading down to 34F, so more like winter than the two spring-like days we just had.

Taters, men can be stubborn about their health, I know because I am one. Hope you can talk some sense into him, a high BP is nothing to fool around with.

Cookie, glad you got fed in time, one of my meds has no restrictions and the other needs to be taken on a empty stomach, so I have the opposite problem (having to wait to eat).

FCM, would have been sort of embarrassing to lose to an imaginary team, so yay! for you and Toby.

lily, I walk at least 3 miles a day, but on a treadmill instead, but I rather like the ice cream idea…

I could try to but I’d probably weasel out of it.

red, glad the shower went without mishap.

And I have 7 You Tubes lined up to watch, so guess I need to get started there. Take care now.

Howdy Y’all! Been home a while from the Wednesday doin’s. Chikin with penne pasta, alfredo sauce and parmesan, broccoli, rolls and sponge cake with whipped cream drizzled with chawklit sauce were consumed. Carb heavy but nummy. I ended up servin’ chalice at the Eucharist cause more people showed up than we thought. That’s a good thing though.

The streetlight in front of da cave was installed by the county. There are others along the road as well. Everybody, well, each house is charged three bucks a month for “maintenance.” I see no reason for ‘em, but they are there.

BooFae glad Keith can go again.

Hippie hooray for the new plumbin’ and increased water pressure. Hope the drywall guy showed up.

Coppertone hope all goes well with the cardiologist. Well, boo on that driver for makin’ you miss the appointment!

Taters indeed Mr. Taters needs to see the doc about his bp post haste. Do we need to sic *BBBOO on him? Enjoy gettin’ your do did and cell phone shoppin’. Glad the ankle thingy is helpin’.

red happy shower!

doggio how disappointin’! I guess Spot will have his afternoon margarita in the hot tub rather than poolside.

Cookie yikes! Glad your BP and sugar levels recovered quickly.
