Morning, mumpers! It’s currently 11c/51f with a predicted high of 13c/55f, and mostly cloudy. Weather app says “Fool me once, shame on you. Fucking fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me every fucking time, you’re probably a fucking weather person.” That’s the most Weather App’s said in a long time!
My gast is well and truly flabbered at that statement! And that is a very fancy teapot, I’d be too scared to use that in case I broke it
Have a safe trip, and I hope your package arrives before you have to leave!
The vet called back with his results and said everything’s fine, he still has to get his levels checked every 3 months, and now that we’ve started him on Solensia shots for his arthritis, that’s a monthly visit on top. He’s a happy little trooper though, and he’s gained a little bit more weight so he’s now just a tiny bit over 3.8kgs which is very good for his age.
Your furriners and your strange spellings…
I’m sorry to hear that a bug has ruined your plans there, I hope you feel at least well enough to see your family on Christmas Day instead.
Lily I hope you catch up on your sleep soon!
Excellent planning skills!
The changing rooms don’t have mirrors inside, nor electrical outlets but there’s a separate area with mirrors, sockets and the gym provides both hairdryers and straighteners so that’s a bonus. I do occasionally give my head a quick going over with the hairdryer if I’m going straight from the gym to the hairdressers, I kind of feel that doing otherwise would be rude and nasty!
That’s good news, but it sounds like she wants to be thorough and there may well be something else going on if you’re still bothered by it. I’m glad it’s not getting in the way too much when you want to be getting around.
Welcome! It doesn’t “work” but it does - just dive in and tell us whatever you want. The MMP has a starting point every week but we never manage to stay on track for more than five minutes!
Sari I hope you warm up soon, I always used to feel the cold until I got to menopause, now I’m always too hot!
Yesterday was a busy day, I was up early to take Shadow to the vet, then we did the grocery run. The supermarket we use is not very big, there was a queue of cars going round the one way system in the car park, mostly because there was a build-up of cars waiting to get back out onto the main road. Once inside, it wasn’t too crowded at all and I managed to get everything on my list apart from one thing (which was a “nice to have”, not a “must have”) so that wasn’t too bad. Getting out of the car park when we left was much easier than getting in!
Came home and stuffed everything into the fridge, apart from the turkey bird which is sitting in a tray in the porch. It’s not quite fridge-cold out there but quite cool enough for the bird to defrost ready for cooking tomorrow. After I’d unpacked everything, I put a load of laundry on so that everything in the laundry baskets has been done. I got a couple of hours of sofa time as well, and caught up with a couple of episodes of “Wolf Hall”.
We went out in the evening, got the train to Big City Station and popped to The Welly for a drink. It’s a pub we used to go to quite often but we rarely venture into the city for a night out any more. We’d got a table booked at The Ivy - it wasn’t bad, the food always sound more exciting than it actually is
After dinner, we headed back home on the train and then went to The Posada for a pint before heading home. I even remembered to haul the biiiiiiiig bin out to the kerb as we got home, because the binmen come early on Tuesday.
True enough, I heard the dustcart coming up the street at 7.30am! I decided that was a good time to get up and start feline tums and bums. Then I went out to haul the biiiiiiiig bin back to where it lives. Now the doors are shut, I am inside and not venturing out again today. 'im indoors is cooking tonight so I have absolutely nothing I need to do apart from drink tea, tend to the critters and their litter trays during the day, and forage for lunch (which will be something out of the fridge). Slothage awaits!
