I had a Jimmy Dean’s sausage patty and an over-easy egg on a slice of Delightful Multi-Grain toast (with omega-3 margarine) for breakfast.
Trader Joe’s Cobb Salad for lunch.
I’m defrosting Trader Joe’s Salmon Pinwheels for dinner, and I got out a bag of ‘Italian style’ mixed veg from the supermarket to go with it. [NB: The salmon isn’t in the frozen section. I just get a couple at a time and freeze them.]
Tonight is make a pizza night. I have shells. I will cut up pizza veggies and sauté some hamburger and Italian sausage. We have pepperoni, sauce and lots of cheese. I will set it all out on the table and each can set up a pizza just the way they like it.
When my niece’s kids were toddlers, they rescued a mastiff (in addition to their rottie). She had several years that she couldn’t keep a Xmas tree on the floor or anything on the coffee table, considering the kids and Sacha’s tail (Roxie, the rottweiler came with a docked tail, so no happy tail accidents there) Hugs and peace to you and FCD.
Do you have to hide it in a piece of cheese? :d&r:
Ouch! wet one I hope that there’s nothing seriously discombulated. It sounds like you did get some good news.
Did anyone else read this as desserts? Color me confused when I read about the mummified croc parts.
It sounds like Sadie’s already feeling better cookie. Yay!
Irked, came home, walked Nelson and et. Once KP is done, I’ll play a bit in the studio, then surf some more. Such excitement!
May I state here and now that I hate hate hate the expression “[xx] years young” - could it be any more patronizing? Right up there with the notion the someone will claim to be 29 for-freekin’-ever. Just stop!
I bought a package of two, small, cauliflower pizza crusts from Trader Joe’s. I also have a bag of shredded mozzarella. I can make sauce out of tomato paste, water, garlic, and herbs. (It usually turns out well.) But I have no pepperoni, and I have no olives. (Hello, Olive! Agagagagagaga! That’s my Popeye impression.) It would be fun to make one pepperoni pizza, and one olive pizza that has so many olives you can’t see the cheese. I’d probably have to share them with The Missus, even though she doesn’t care for cauliflower crust.
BTW: Trader Joe’s has bagged pizza dough in the refrigerated section. I’ve got a couple of bags in the freezer. Very easy, and tasty.
Well, it got up to 13 degrees Fahrenheit today. And quite windy. The dogs would not enjoy their daily walk, I know I wouldn’t. No sun, overcast and windy.
Monday here was marked by the news that my son does indeed have pertussis. Thrills ! We are now 18 days into the disease known as the “hundred-day cough.”
Prior vaccination has probably mitigated the illness and led to a less severe case. Mind you, this case has him coughing so hard he throws up. Multiple times a day. He can’t sleep for the rib pain, which probably means he’s broken them while coughing.
The pediatrician confirmed that it’s “going around,” a genuine outbreak in this area. (Thank you, anti-vaxxers!)
I meant to post on Monday, but things have been a bit busy.
Thanks. We’re waiting for the hospice person who has to make the official call, plus whoever it is who will take her to the funeral home that will handle the cremation. I’ll post more tomorrow - I’m taking a short break now.
Up from naptime, watching hockey and having a Manhattan.
The local soccer club field is built on a field(115 miles from the ocean) where the N.C. Museum of Science used to bury dead whales to finish the defleshing process. The Supporters Club is called The Dead Whales Society
Where I come from, this is called “wage theft”. Keep after them.
Well, there is Lenny the Squidgoat, but that’s not hazing, all he does is < redacted >
