Old School Mafia Reunion (newer players welcome too)

The hell, man? I still haven’t gotten my role assignment email! What’s with the slacker mods this game anyway??

So, Day 1. I post fluff and 37 angry townies hammer to lynch me.

Methinks this will need to be a serious game.

You mean you didn’t get yours? I got mine yesterday!

Can I just declare my admiration for your way of thinking
We could call it Never Ending Mafia and there would be no Lynch The Lurkers!

2 years would be awesome!

I played a bit on facebook - but not sure if all those games where really mafia

My first game here was T2 in 2008.

Most played board must by Idlemafia - but has also played Giraffe and others. Different names on some. So I’m also known as Total Ulla, Total Ullz or just plain Ulla

My spelling and gramma sometimes reveals that I’m Danish and English is my second language.

Your gramma does like to talk.

OMG!!! lol
That is so me!!!

You would have loved the time when I talked about my troubles making dinner because I couldn’t handle to cock

I just portalled and I was kicking ass, looking like I was going to finally get The Block cleared in under an hour… then I realized I was doing the Scientist II challenge and it totally hosed on all those Snimps and Gorillimps… spent more than an hour on just the second half of The Block map

Oops, wrong thread!

Scum tell!

At least he did not edit his post.

NAF, if you even suggest anything remotely like that long a timeline again, I will… taunt you mercilessly.

My first game was… hmm, I have to look it up. I subbed into T2 back in Oct 2008. I played off and on here and on Idlemafia until work ate my face.

First game? Mafia The Game III: Kinder and Gentler.

I still get a little internal chuckle about my “table with my name on it” mason-reference.

My favorite reference in-game (that sadly, nobody caught) was when I was Professor Moriarty (I can’t remember if it was a Holmes game or a grab-bag of roles). When I was eventually caught, I spammed the thread with A Treatise on the Binomial Theorem and with The Dynamics of the Asteroid.

I think I remember that.

Speaking of, I’m looking for some inspiration for color. Anyone want to share stories of favorite moments, mechanics, roles, fights whatever from past games?

Let’s roll out some nostalgia. I’ll work as much of it into the color as possible.

I played in a game on Giraffe Boards where I had a goop gun that fired red, yellow, or blue goop and I could mix them accordingly to get orange, green or purple goop. All three made black and they did different things and forced gooped posters to post in the goop color. It was a blast and I loved that role like no other. I remember yellow protected from NKs and purple rezzed dead players.

I like color wherein it’s possible that the “Good guys” and “bad guys” in the canon are not equivalent to town and scum. My absolute favorite example of that was the Marvel game on Idle’s boards, in which I got to use my penchant for always being suspected because Reaper was the pro-town vig role.

That game I had a blast in, playing up being a grumpy supervillain who was on the side of the good guys.

Until I got quicklynched for making a brain fart at work and voting for a mason, anyway. =P

Heh, I played in one of the Arkham sequels, without having read through the original, and so was quite confused for the first few days until I realized that the Town was the villains and the Scum were Batman and company.

Oh, how I loved the original Batman. That was the first time I really got into a role. I was The Riddler, and I grabbed onto that with two fists – leaving hidden clues and secret messages, not because that was required, but simply because it’s what The Riddler would have done.

And I almost got away with the win-steal too!
