37? That’s a rather specific number of townies. Out of 65? On first glance it’s far too low and so could be a number pulled out of thin air, but if there is more than one scum faction, or multiple third parties, it may well be accurate. The only way ProfP could possibly know this is PIS or a role allowing him to view the game setup. Either way, not something a townie would do:

My first game was Screamers, I subbed in for Nanook, and voted Peeker in my first post - only because Nanook had previously voted him and I hoped to piggyback his reasoning, until called out, then I squirmed. Fond memories.

In my very first game of Mafia ever, I was the alpha werewolf. Storyteller had a mechanic wherein each player had a one-shot ability to post an anonymous message to the game at night.
We had an important piece of information that we wanted to give town, but we also wanted to screw with them a little, so our message was: “the wolf’s cannot kill the Serial Killer.”
I took a great deal of satisfaction in watching the analysis over that typo.
Since there’s a lot of Giraffe mafia regulars signed up here, I’ll announce it here as well: I’m modding the next game at the geeb and I’m going to wait until this game is over (or at least 15 deaths in) before I start my game.

Yeah, see, I got in contact with a few people like Winston, above (another player from the first, ever, SDMB game) and a few others like Gaderene, even (who said he’ll be making a post in here sometime this week)…but didn’t expect such a quick expiration date on the sign ups.

At some point, story, NAF, and I will need a final count of how many people are in this game.
We have, I think, the majority of the game planned. It’s large and a lot of details remain, but the general ideas are there and most of the roles are planned. I agree with story that it looks like quite the game. Interesting.
And, man, has it been fun to work with NAF and story. I don’t believe I’ve co-created a game before.
