I did my longest bike ride today - 50 minutes total, I think, including a slow warm up and a slower cool down. Something over 10 miles. Now it’s crochet time.
My alarm is set for 0615 - I want to get to the Dr office early to get my blood drawn, since it’s fasting and I’ll be wanting to eat immediately after. I will make sure to drink a lot of water in the morning - every little thing to help plump up my crappy veins.

I’m in the If It Ain’t Broke, Don’t Fix It camp. I connect to VPN on my Mac, then connect to my desktop PC with Microsoft Remote Desktop. It works, only I need to be able to connect to VPN (which is still down), and someone has to turn on my PC after a power failure. With the Lenovo laptop, I only have to connect to the VPN. The laptop is meant to replace the desktop. I ordered a wireless, rechargeable mouse. I could get reimbursed, but I’m wondering if it’s worth it for $8.69.
Besides shoe’s suggestion, light colored contact paper is fairly inexpensive and easy to remove when you are moving out and hoping to get your deposit back.
Good luck with the neighbors. Moving is always stressful, hopefully they will settle down when they find their spoons.

That’s something we aren’t going to like back here. In AZ, they spread cinders on the roads and then swept them back up to use later. They use salt here which makes cars rot.
Is it a fleece one? I bought one for Crabby Old Cat and it seems to work for GG and Jolene as well.
I was thrilled when I saw the bottle cause we didn’t get it back in AZ, hence the hoarding and begrudging.

Of course it was fine until after the furnace guys were there. It’s in the rules or something.
We used to have a doormat that said “Cell Phone? Keys? Wallet?” and it actually worked for a couple of weeks. Back before smart phones and elastic waistbands, my phone always lived in my pocket, but now it lives on my desk where it is easy to forget about.
I am happy that you are enjoying it, jealous that you have a class to go to. I haven’t found anything here and online classes just aren’t the same. I do miss them.

I think I’m 66. Counts on fingers, yes, 66 until next month. My birthday is so late in the year that I can’t just subtract my birth year 1957 from the current year and get my age.
That was very kind of you, you can’t often find used saddles at thrift stores. I hope she learned a lot from it. I would also assume horse hair was used, human hair is usually used for wigs.
There might be a time when it is easier to just make a cup of coffee and a cup of chocolate and put them in front of her. She probably doesn’t really know what she will want until she sees/smells it.
The end times seems to take everything they have just to sit upright and put things in their mouth, making choices is hard.
They aren’t nearly as bad as they used to be. That’s the best I can come up with about the whole situation.

I keep telling you, you aren’t 50 anymore!
I’m not sure about the gym tomorrow morning. I know the highway will be clear and I’m sure the interstate will be, I’m not sure about the narrow and very winding road leading to the gym. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow.
The water was much warmer today than yesterday, but today is the first scheduled swim team meet. Happily the practice sessions are after 1700 so they won’t crowd me out in the mornings.
I cannot believe all the stuff I am carrying to the gym every day. I started with a towel, shower shoes, shampoo and a comb. I’ve since added another towel, body soap, loofa, tangle spray, deodorant and now I’m going to have to start packing a blow dryer because it was way too cold to be walking around outside with wet hair. I will be so happy when I finally get it cut, I couldn’t get an appointment before Thanksgiving.
It’s been snowing most of the day, but nothing has been sticking so far. It came down pretty strong for a while and GG was mesmerized. Jolene glanced out and I could tell that she saw the movement, but it didn’t affect her like it did GG.
Today we learned that we had a smoke alarm in the laundry room. Surprisingly enough, the dead battery beeping started in the middle of the afternoon instead of the middle of the night. That’s a good place for one, we will replace it.

I bonked my right eyebrow with a carton weighing ~2.5# today and got much of the same response. Had to fill out paperirk, walk Safety Dean through what happened and when I get back from vacation, will have to go through a review, complete with my suggestions on prevention. Oy vey!

TGIT and the beginning of vacation! I’m so ready for time off.
I came home from irk, did a couple of loads of laundry, et and did KP, but that was just about all of the energy that I had. Tomorrow morning, I’ll go for my semi-annual PCP check up, pick up prescriptions and a couple of toiletries, come home, do some packing, take Nelson to the dog park to burn some energy off before a long car trip, then load what can be pre-loaded in the car. I’ll hit the road Saturday. Until then, I’m not eating anything that requires dirtying more than a coffee cup or travel mug here at home.

Between heavy cold and heavy snowstorm I’ve been at home all week and will likely stay tomorrow as well. Too much coughing and sneezing to go to the office and infect others.
But, upside is that I brought work home on the weekend, just in case the weather turned bad, and it did. Working on a big project that I can never quite get to, but being trapped in the house with a computer that has working VPN ( ) has let me actually get some of it done today. Hope to get more done tomorrow.
No snow falling, and low wind, so just -8 tonight. Had to do a grocery store run (one must not run out of toilet paper, even when coughing up a lung!), and the air actually had that lovely winter crispness and fresh snow scent that we vainly waited for all last winter. Maybe this winter will be more like normal.
This sounds like an excellent time to avail yourself of grocery delivery.
I wanted to get out of the house for a bit, even for something as mundane as that. Fresh air and all that.
Just hope you didn’t overdo and set back recovery.
