(Old) Summers of Childhood Past in the MMP

Two more days to the big trip! Getting very nervous now!

I’ve skimmed most of the posts but didn’t have time to respond

After my grandmother died, with something like $90 in her checking account, we covered her funeral expenses in Utah and someone in her family covered the burial in California.

One of sisters subsequently died, without children or a husband. That estate was divided up by the eight siblings, and because grandmother was deceased, her 1/8 was divided among her three children, less Grandma’s burial cost.

As my father had already pass, his share was divided among the five of us. This was back in the 80s, and I think my 1/120 share got $45 or something like that. I was a student and $45 was $45.

Interesting! I didn’t realize there were many dragon boat races in American. (Technically, we are called paddlers instead of rowers because we face forward.)
