But he’s very concerned about her and doesn’t want this to have a negative impact on her politically. He’s only pointing these things out because he wants to make sure Hillary is seen in a positive light.
Don’t forget, we can always ignore it.

Some of them are so old they can be new again. In 2016, there will be voters who can’t remember the Clinton administration at all.
Heck, I’ve been voting since at least 2008 and I barely remember the Clinton Administration.

I started the thread because its a legitimate news story about a possible Presidential candidate. I thought it merited some discussion. I doubt it will effect Hillary’s political chances in any significant way. So far the public seems disinterested. That’s really good news for the Clinton camp.
Simply posting a link to a news story doesn’t mean I’m attacking her.

May I thank Lightnin’ in the thread for that term “concern trolling”, ? Very useful concept, I didn’t know it yet. Also thanks to aceplace57 for his brilliant example of concern trolling.

I tried to give some context of how Hillary was initially received in my state when they first entered politics. She rubbed a lot of the older people the wrong way back then. Feminism was still quite new in the rural areas in the 70’s. I mentioned earlier that Frank White cleverly used that controversy and other issues to defeat Clinton in his 2nd Gov’s race. I only brought it up because this news story dates back to those days. I was barely 18 when Clinton was in his first term. We talked about his policies in college and I always admired his desire to help our home state. He made a lot of important changes that improved life in Arkansas, Hillary often worked with him on many projects. He appointed her to head a commission to update and improve the schools in the mid 80’s. They became quite a team in the 80’s.
Hillary has changed a lot. She’s a much shrewder politician now. Theres a good chance she could be the 1st female President.
