Is this not allowed? I saw Wikipedia referencing. I found this site because I have a recipe using meat sauce as an ingredient and needed to know what it meant. I was delighted to find this answer and wanted to share.
The inclusion of AI content in posts is somewhat controversial on this site, but not strictly forbidden. We even have threads about AI answers. They were particularly popular when AI tools were brand new and were a real novelty.
But generally, if you include something that came from AI, it’s expected that you disclose that. In a larger sense, if you are copying something from another source in general, there’s an expectation that you’ll give attribution, otherwise you are falsely presenting a post as your original writing from your own thoughts and opinions (which it isn’t).
AI doesn’t necessarily pull info off of Wiki correctly. You still have to verify the source.
