I think we would all do well to remember there’s a difference between “I wouldn’t feel comfortable nursing a kid that old,” and “No one should nurse a kid that old.” One is perfectly valid, the other has no more grounding than objections to women wearing pants or gay marriage, or any other practice that “just isn’t (or wasn’t) done” and makes people feel uncomfortable.
