Just wanted to pop in and say that your taking olive and her litter in without any hesitance is to be commended.
Supposed to get the “big” Xmas bonus tomorrow and will be making a good donation.
Do hope we get more updates! YaY!

Oh, what adorable babies! I want them all!!! and Olive, too.
You did good, Renee!
I think you can see that in pics 2, 3 and 4. She may be a little sweety, but the expression on her face says, “You can look all you want, but don’t even think about touching my babies!”
Thank you! That’s awesome. You guys are so sweet.
I’ll bump this thread when they open their eyes and such, so everyone knows we have new photos. Everyone is doing great, no problems. Mama is still quite protective. Hopefully she’ll chill a bit when they get interesting and start roaming around.
You should get a puppy cam!!
Hello again. The babies are all thriving, and are, in fact, the fattest little puppies I’ve ever seen. Don’t they look like little tiny hippopotamuses? They should have their eyes open in the next couple of days here, and then the real fun begins!
You know, they kind of do look like tiny hippos! I bet they sure smell great.
Um, SQUEEEE!!!
Is Olive letting you pet the puppies yet? How is she doing?
squeeeeeeeee!!!
She’s allowing it, but prefers that I don’t. When I touch one of them, she tries to put her nose under my hand (pet me instead!) and is very watchful. But she’s not spending all of her time with them anymore, she checks on them and feeds/cleans them frequently, but she spends a lot of time elsewhere in the house. I think once they’re up and moving around, she’s going to be fine. I don’t want to push it at this point.
There is another poster here who raises guide dog puppies. Does anyone remember who that was? I had a couple of questions for her.
That’s Elenfair and she’s awesome. A bazillion years ago she gave me some really good advice about socializing my dog. And if I forgot to thank her I am doing it now. Thank you!
Renee you warm my grinchy heart.
He (or she!) who saves one life, saves the whole world.
And thus it came to pass, in this season, that a small family was saved from the gas chamber.
Thank you.
Look at the li’l fat puppy bellies! I’m squeeing all over myself…
Oh my goodness, fat puppy tummies! And widdle pink noses! Squeeeee!
More pics!
OK, added a couple more. Look how fat Blitzen is! (The one at the very back.) Still no open eyes.
He’s almost as wide as he is long.
Without a doubt, they are the cutest puppies evahhhrrrrr!!!
