I suppose I could also mesh cool with the new rolly eyes or take out some white from cool rolly’s nose.
Both attempts are snarkier than the new rolly and less snarky than the old rolly.
Cool rolly looks a little too pensive, possibly annoyed or -er- dubious.

The problem with all those static rolleyes is that they look like somebody’s looking up and thinking about something.

Where the lines forming his eyes meet the line forming the outline of his head, that triangle looks to me like furrowed eyebrows. He looks to me like he is scowling and shouting at someone.

I’m not happy with the new smilies, especially rolleyes, but the old ones weren’t wonderful, either.
Naw, we don’t need new similes, like a bird doesn’t need a third wing.
Maybe it would work better if you try my altered version of the old rolleyes and work backwards.
Or even start from old rolleyes himself. All I did to make the new version is resize old rolly to 16x16, cut out the border and replaced it with the border from :D, and then sharpened and recolored it.
Still looks like he licked some body’s pie.
I adapted the eyes from old rolleyes (FTR).
Maybe I’ll give it another shot.
Has any Mod or Admin chimed in yet? I’m not looking back over all the pages to see.
