OMG! OMG! You HAVE to Check Out This Zune Ad!

My reaction exactly. WTF?

Too true. It isn’t enough just to make everybody talk about something - it actually matters what they say - the old “it’s successful advertising because you remember it, even if you hate it” is a crock of shit.

Bomber ad

Band Name !!!

I’m struggling with the heirarchy here. In order of pure disgust, is it:

  1. A sentient shorn scrotum with prehensile penis withimmense frenulum. :o
  2. A multi-eyed globule that defecates eyeballs.
  3. The image of aforementioned globule defecating INTO the penile orifice.

Or,

Any Order of Above?

It makes me want to crank up my Victrola, to be blunt.

Cartooniverse

One of the female posters here did a Freudian slip by typing “penis ensues” instead of … some other word, can’t even remember it right now.

Was this actually aired anywhere on television? Or is it a “Tossed to the online community to cause at least some talk about the zune?”

I’m just shocked that the commercial has nothing whatsoever to do with the product. I mean, at least the Geiko gecko mentions car insurance…

I think that was anastaseon, and she meant to say, “panic ensued.” I think.

Exactly What, pray tell is a Boobah supposed to look like?

tilts head about ninety degrees

Did this actually air anywhere, on TV, at some point in time?

Ahem…

[sup]band name?[/sup]

Yep.

Yep.

Gosh you guys, I don’t know why you’re so confused. Obviously, the blind penis monster represents us, the consumer – lost in a monotone planescape that is the current music industry without the Zune. Behold! We find the Zune and it literally gives us vision and clarity where our dickhead should normally be! It couldn’t be simpler.

Erm, as for the ass clenching and the burping/farting noises, well, someone else can tackle those.

I like the music

Ask Anastasaeon  It was her freudian slip.

Once the thing has an eye it sort of reminds me of one of the alien races from this book, but I cannot recall which.

Thanks for the reminder, I even dug up the original thread (some things never go away). Oh sweet board-lore. I was going to post something constructive here, I swear, but I need to look into this more. Thanks!

y’all have dirty minds. I think it’s cute.

And the people on youtube are saying it’s not an ad at all, but a clip from the zune website or something.

Mmmm hmmmm. Your point?

I just now figured out why it’s supposed to make people want to buy a Zune. The Zune is designed to allow you to “share” (if you can call having a DRM slapped on all your files no matter if they’re public domain or not) files wirelessly. The eyeball transfer is meant to suggest this. I think I only need to mention that M$ refers to the transfering as “squirting” for an explaination as to why they chose the particular imagery for the ad.

Well, that really does nothing but add to the “EWWWWWWWW!” factor.
