I think we as a society should be using the word “asshole” a lot more, when referring to both men and women. After all, it is a gender-neutral slur.

Usually a slur is more offensive than an insult. Often it involves some kind of derogatory term for a group of people, rather than a specific insult toward an individual.
Saying someone smells bad is an insult, saying they are stupid because they’re of Polish ancestry is a slur.
Murder AND bearing false witness. Bet they are good Trump Christian folks.
Request to keep all non-political threads free of political posts wherever possible. Just my preference, only a request.
I hope the OP doesn’t mind this, but I’m going to make this post as a suggestion and then flag it for TPTB to consider it.
With a recent dustup of sorts on the SDMB regarding gendered slurs, perhaps it’s time to change the name of this thread and any others which have “MFers” in the title. I suggest replacing “MFer” with “jerks” or some similar insulting, but non gendered derogatory term.

Here in Australia, and Europe and the rest of the world being called a cunt is not gendered. I propose we allow the word CUNT to be applied to all those who deserve it, male, female or otherwise.
So cunt doesn’t mean vagina where you’re from?
