We really need to keep partisan red team / blue team politics out of this thread.
Surely there is some evil in teh last 24 hours that is not just political sparring that we can marvel at?

Very well. How about some good old all-American naked crazy at the airport?
Amazon’s AI says Mein Kampf is “a true work of art” and that readers “appreciate the insightful and intelligent rants”.
I couldn’t read the whole thing due to ad blocking. But assuming the woman was just crazy / drugged out, rather than trying to perform an evil act like hijacking or plane-crashing, that probably is more stupid MF than evil MF.
But thanks for trying. Seriously, not snarkily.
As to Mein Kampf, I can hardly wait for the era (maybe next year) when half the content on the internet is AI-generated and then the AI’s start feeding on each others’ lousy output.
It’ll be coprophages all the way down.
In fairness, that could be Southwest’s version of an in-flight movie.
I’m afraid that’s already started happening.
Here’s a pretty good video that documents some examples of places on social media that have just degenerated into bots talking at each other and regurgitating their prompts.
Great! Thank you.
There’s also this from a few years ago: xkcd - Facebook of the Dead. It’s a dozen years old now so reads a bit quaint. But the idea is legit.
A perfect example of that is Pete Buttigieg. He’s gone on Fox, faced hostile interviewers, and tied them up in knots. With an easy manner and a smile.
The median Doper would struggle to have a meaningful conversation with a centrist, let alone an actual right-winger. Best start with more modest ambitions
I disagree.
First one meets your criteria (reach folks who aren’t hearing the message) because right-wing folks are already watching/listening to those shows.
Second does not much, unless you suppose that a significant portion of the right wing would follow one of their pundits onto a left-wing show of any kind. I don’t.
Of course. Cynicism is usually smarter. Not necessarily principled (it can be), but smarter.
Tom Hagen: “I always thought it would have been Clemenza, not Tessio”.
Michael Corleone: “It’s the smart move. Tessio was always smarter.”
Have you had conversations with centrists on whether transwomen are men or women, and on who ought to be in women’s sport and if it’s okay to give kids cross-sex hormones?
How did that go?
You know very well that all Trump would say to that is that they shouldn’t have forced Putin to start the war.
What is the ‘’‘centrist’‘’ position on interfering with the medical treatment of strangers?
Her trying to get into the cockpit is somewhat disturbing.
Almost as disturbing as the TV reporter being named Chase Golightly.
Does he bear any resemblance to George Peppard?
Most people in the US think this form of medicine is unreliable enough to be worthy of a straight-up ban. In the UK, where they had an actual scientific review about it (which I note upthread the progressive side of politics is still talking smack about ) the number favouring a ban for children is between 75% and 87%.
So yes, this is the centrist position. “Gender medicine works” and “a person can be actually a woman despite having a male body” are minority positions.
If you were talking to a centrist on this issue, would you be able to have the intellectual humility to admit that you are the one with the minority opinion, and it is possible that they are the ones who are right, not you?
“Don’t have a stroke when Gavin does it” would be a good start.
I mean, you can go look up the comments to Left leaning shows that did have right wingers on, and they tend to have plenty of comments from fans of the right wing audience. So I don’t think you are correct.
