Maybe some of the wilier more foolhardy inmates will just simply dodge those nasty obstacles for their escape. But then end up getting shot, or something.
I’m reliably informed that they open and close their mouths on a regular period of a few seconds, and that you can safely jump on them when their mouths are closed.
If I understand you correctly, that camp will be ‘just for show’ so the KKK base gets to whoop and holler? I’d go along with you except that during his last term, the camps he built in Arizona did get used.
I’d like to think that this is just a hateful ugly threat… but…
They also hang out in places where sturdy vines hang from the tree canopy and incessantly swing back and forth like a metronome arm.
Nah, I was referring to Laura Loomer and similar far-right social media bizarros who continually ramp up the crazy for views.
Would I be far off the mark to say Lara Loomer is an ignorant hateful racist jerk?
( I’m pretty sure that when she puts on her KKK hood, the pillowcase is XXX-Small. )
You would be correct.
The real problem of course is not one stupid individual, but rather the 50M or 100M white assholes at home nodding and smiling when hearing this piece of shit spouting her hate.
Just because Kristi Nemo and Fuckface von Clownstick went to the place, and trumpeted it in the press is no reason to think that the federal government is involved in Alligator Alcatraz.
“Hey, hey, hey… This is Ron’s bullshit, don’t paint us with this clusterfuck.”
Of course, the Racistpublicans in the federal government who adore the bog gulag are going to be inextricably linked with it anyway for as long as they keep talking about how cool it is.
I like this description.
Alligator Alcatraz signs have been erected.
I’m also going to call BS on the claim that the feds have nothing to do with it. If ICE is going to be transporting people to the place, then they’re totally complicit. And if they’re not, what’s the point?
Plausible deniability. Nothing more. And it’ll only be plausible to the hard right.
Why would the State of Florida waste any money building a migrant detention facility? Immigration enforcement isn’t, as far as I know, a state responsibility.
It sells t-shirts.
I’m.serious.
Serious question; does the t-shirt revenue exceed the cost of building and operating the detention facility?
It does to the people making the decisions. The money spent building the prison is just taxpayers’ money, but the T-shirt money goes to them personally.
This being the Everglades, has anyone estimated the environmental impact? I mean, obviously not the builders, but…
I’d assume there’ll be a fee paid per detainee to the state for the use of the facilities.
So the State of Florida is dependent on federal spending.
You can’t put a price tag on ethnic cleansing.
It was put together on an existing airplane runway so from the standpoint of construction probably minimal impact.
Now, the garbage and sewage generated by thousands of people locked in cages… that’s going to be more of a problem…
