Update…
Two firefighters were indeed killed. A third was shot but is stable after surgery. It’s believed that there was only suspect, and they are deceased.

“It’s a mystery how this guy died of an axe wound. Just an unsolvable mystery, I tell you!”
Dedicated thread on the Idaho firefighter ambush:
Probably a suicide.
Televangelist Jimmy Swaggart has died, at age 90.
Swaggart was a big deal in the 1980s, and one of the U.S.'s most visible Evangelical Christian ministers, until being caught with a prostitute, which curtailed his ministry (though he continued to work for decades after that). He was a classic example of the hypocrisy, sin, and outright greed of such television ministers.
(A few minutes ago, my wife told me about his passing after she saw a news update on her phone. My reaction: “Hey, it’s warmer here than I thought it was going to be. And I didn’t realize that angels have bat wings…”)
Too bad there’s no way of knowing if he’s going to suffer for eternity.
I don’t personally believe there’s an afterlife but I can hope.
OK, I’ve spent too much time trying to figure out how to imbed videos. Just Google “Louisiana Hooker with Herpes” and enjoy Frank Zappa’s ode to the departed.
Thanks! It’s been brought to my attention that searching YouTube for "Zappa (Swaggart version) will also bring up Swaggart-themed versions of “Lonesome Cowboy Burt”, “Penguin in Bondage”, and “Trouble Every Day”. And of course “Heavenly Bank Account” works fine with the regular lyrics.
ETA: This is more of a “Stupid MF” thing, but in searching for those I discovered that some “prosperity gospel” Christians actually use the phrase “Heavenly Bank Account” unironically.
I couldn’t stand Swagart’s hypocracy, but he left me with an indelible memory. Early one morning when my daughter was a baby, she was sometimes colicky, so at 5:30 I was up, feeding her and rocking her. I turned on the TV, and there was Jimmy, sobbing and confessing his transgressions. Thanks to him, I get to remember that beautiful memory of rocking and calming my baby girl.
Well, so he’s dead. Whatever paying for his bad actions he was going to do is done. He is erased from existence, as all of us will be one day, the good with the bad, the mighty with the meek.
It’s easy to understand why people fantasize about an afterlife where justice is done in fine detail to every human soul. Sorry, justice remains more an aspiration than a reality.
This…this is just wrong. Not to mention evil.
The family of Delshon L. Dupriest, the man whose grave was disrupted, said he was killed around 27 years ago.
They arrived at the cemetery after they got the call. They were understandably emotional and wanted to know why and how this could have happened.
“It was like somebody had just dug it up,” said Dupriest’s mom, Jamesetta Blandhood. “It looked like they had put dynamite and just blew it open.”
A)I missed the first few words in your quote and it turns out, “Delshon L. Dupriest, the man whose grave was disrupted, said he was killed around 27 years ago” isn’t what the article is about.
B)This was either very well planned or they were professional grave robbers. I say that because it appears they knew what they were doing. I mean, anyone planning to rob a random grave would know to bring shovels, but they thought to bring sledge hammers to break through the burial vault and, I’m guessing, a cordless angle grinder to slice open the top of the casket.
I’m curious what they were after. I can’t imagine someone digging up a random 27 year old grave hoping to find something valuable. It’s like the beginning of a movie that opens with someone getting out of jail after being locked up for 27 years and knowing that their partner that got killed in the heist was buried with, I don’t know, a safety deposit box key or a map to show where he left the money or a ring that was worth millions of dollars.
Does Nicholas Cage have an alibi?
Laura Loomer, professional insane person, has some thoughts about the new “Alligator Alcatraz” facility in Florida.

Anyway - care to guess what the number of all Latino people in the US is? Any rough estimates?
Saying the quiet part out loud.
Curiously, feeding their victims alive to wild animals was not on any list of potential ways to enact The Final Solution.
Can we stop calling American conservatives Nazis? It’s insulting to Nazis.
It takes a group of some pretty sick minds to dream something like this up.
On a related note, I have also been made aware that there is a long, long, long history of representing minorities - and especially black children - as “alligator bait”. I’ve only linked to the Wiki page but still - not recommended to those without a strong constitution.
If you want continued clicks and attention, you’ve got to keep ramping up the vicious crazy, otherwise the drooling audience gets bored.
