Some guy was being a problem drunk on the train, so, according to policy, they left him in the nearest town: Wolf Point. You can get farther from anywhere else than Wolf Point, but the train does not have a stop in that farther place.
I have dropped problem passengers in the least convenient (for them) airport I could locate along our general route that was still on our list of authorized stopover points.

Yeah, the next time I need paving work done in Warsaw I’m using another company. 
You know what else can be taken to court? Theft. And the judges in said court don’t generally take kindly to “First come, first served” as a defense.
Yeah. When he said life was “first come; first served” (in Polish no doubt) I believe that what he really meant was closer to life is “Most selfish; best served.”
In that he’s probably correct, and ever more so in our ever-coursening era. But just because he’s correct doesn’t mean he’s right.
Fucking asshole’s first response was to admit it and threaten legal action against anyone slandering him. Then he later “apologized” and claimed it was a mistake and he returned the hat. I’m sure that was after his lawyers informed him where the legal liability was regarding his potential slander lawsuits.
More likely, the terrible PR for his firm.
I feel like a real shit and I’m sure I’m going to hell, but my first thought upon learning that the Taliban has asked the world for help after the terrible earthquake they just had, was there must not be any women in the number of people who need help.

The guy is still a massive dickhead, but his real apology was a bit better (only a bit), as he threw his children under the bus.

I don’t know anything about drug use or Narcan, but based on this article it sounds horribly painful, and these vigilantes need to be severely punished.
The first thing every opiate addict does when you save their life with Narcan is get enraged that you ruined their high and start hitting you..
Quoting the person who was passed out on a bicycle in public as an objective source on his own drug use or the reality of social trends is wild behavior from the world’s most credulous journalist. He needs to be reassigned to the magic beans beat. No, there is no conspiracy of “vigilantes” going around “attacking people with Narcan,” but the idea that there is serves as a useful filter for whose opinions around this issue are worthless.

Look I get the frustration and anger. The crackheads go through my block and rifle through vehicles in my neighborhood monthly. I’ve replaced the passenger side window 4 times, I had expensive specialized tools stolen, my stuff strewn all over, etc. Our shop is downtown and the same crap happens. There is a constant stream of homeless and addicts and all the bullshit that comes with that. Even if they are not actively stealing or damaging our property, I don’t want to deal with strung out junkies. But.. The police react pretty quickly when called if there is a disturbance, and so do the outreach teams.
There is a naxolone kit hanging on the alley fence outside our shop right now. I would absolutely use it if I thought it would save a life. But, to use it on someone to punish them, to get them out of the way - thats just fucking monstrous.
