Or in the White House.
…a comment about Kansan Republicans clearly doesn’t affect you. That brush isn’t nearly as broad as you think. The “they” in question was “the state’s GOP leaders”, as explicitly noted by Railer, who by the way is a Kansan.
It’s the shower room I’m worried about
It is also worth noting that to the GOP a white 40-year-old is a “kid” but a black 12-year-old is a “man”.
I want to thank you quite publicly for that. Man, oh man, is that shit going into holsters in my arsenal, right now…
I’ll be loading one up for my wife, as well. She is an admin at a fairly large charter school which services an incredibly large immigrant, non-white population. She can use it when ICE shows up. It’ll give me time to get there…
@deltogre: to whom are you replying about what “shit”?
I’m guessing it was the note from Gyrate about the double standard from the GOP, which I would agree is a good quote.
Discourse in its infinite wisdom removes the “reply” icon if you are replying to the previous post because we’re supposed to always assume every post is a reply to the one just before it (even though that’s total BS).
Vance says he’d advise his children to not put things like that on the internet, not that they shouldn’t say that crap at all.
The father of three said he would caution his own children, “especially my boys, don’t put things on the internet, like, be careful with what you post. If you put something in a group chat, assume that some scumbag is going to leak it in an effort to try to cause you harm or cause your family harm.
And why, “especially his boys”?
Because they are within his Monkeysphere.
They might want to do something important later.
Frankly at this late date, everyone should be aware that whatever they post on the internet (especially on social media and especially under their real name) might come back to bite them later. I’m not on any social media (aside from this message board) and this sort of thing is a big reason why.
I’m rather surprised Vance called leakers “scumbags” and not “traitors”. How very statesmanlike of him. I’m mostly being sarcastic, but also making a serious point.
Why, it’s part of his hillbilly charm!
So the traitors and scumbags aren’t those who have such vile views?
That would certainly be Vance’s POV.
It depends on what vile views you’re talking about. To someone like Vance, vile views are anything that departs from what Trump likes. At least, that seems to be the bargain he struck when he became Trump’s toady. An interesting cycle here…
At one time…
Vance said he didn’t vote for Trump in 2016 and his former roommate shared images of a text message Vance sent him that year in which he called Trump “cynical” and said he could be “America’s Hitler.”
And now he defends texts from “young” Republicans that say, among other things, “I love Hitler.”
He still thinks Trump is America’s Hitler. He just thinks that’s a good thing.
Is it possible to use any number of the Trump / GOP threads for shit like this and keep this tread for ordinary evil people?
That “feature” could easily be switched off, but the ptb don’t seem to be interested.
