Frankly I think such evidence would be very hard to obtain. How would they know unless they had a definite non-anti-semitic suspect or if the perp publicized taking responsibility for the killing? And if he did publicize it he could very well do it in an obscure Arabic language pro Hamas venue which the Detroit police would not be following.

But yeah, there’s no way to know motive until you know the perpetrator. Though I’ll point out that the article doesn’t say that antisemitism wasn’t the motive; it just says that there’s no evidence for it.
Articles I see now have the police implying that they are pretty certain the motive was something other than anti-semitism, vs that they had no evidence of anti-semitism. IOW, they know the motive but aren’t releasing it yet.

A Montana mother of two is facing charges after allegedly hitting a Native American woman and fleeing the scene in a deadly hit-and-run, say authorities.
Sunny Kathrinne White, 28, was arrested Saturday and charged with five felonies including vehicular homicide while under the influence in connection with the death of Mika Josephine Westwolf, 22, in March 2023, according to charging documents obtained by PEOPLE.
White is also charged with accidents involving another person or deceased person, two counts of criminal child endangerment, and criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
White’s two children, Aryan, 4, and Nation, 2, were in the car with her at the time of the accident, the Missoulian reports.
