Omnibus Evil MFers in the news thread

I’m pitting the “Twin Flames” cult, because while there are many kinds of grifty scum out there, taking advantage of lonely people is one of the lowest. This article gives some information about them and the special devoted to escaping the organization.

When it kind of gets you conflicted since every party involved is apparently a piece of work:

Because, of course, using the word “Israel” can only have one meaning…

Could be worse; could be “Zionist.”

There’s protocols for that, after all.

I have to say that “antisemitic Israelites” was not on my radar before this. New vocabulary term of the day.

And now a week later I find this article about homebrew DIY radicalization and how it’s an attractive nuisance actively creating evil from mere discontent.

OK, this is a first for me.

A robbery suspect, fleeing on foot, crawled into a storm drain and refused to come out. The cops sent a K-9 dog in after him (not sure why, and certainly not a good idea.) The suspect strangled the dog.

Why is it “certainly not a good idea?” Any good tactic can be a failure in a specific event.

Dogs are far more expendable than are officers. And often are far more “persuasive” than even a group of officers. With usually less injury to everyone if the suspect is determined to fight back.

This amounts to what the military calls “tunnel clearing”. Which is nasty violent dangerous work taking skilled troops.

Perhaps they just should have thrown a bunch of military grenades in there, followed up by a few clips of M-16 fire? Then sent somebody in with a bucket to bring out a chunk of the former robber for DNA identification? That hardly seems better.

I realize this is the pit, but you could have done perfectly well without this paragraph. Why not give the other poster a chance to answer your question before going ballistic?

Because the dog was killed.

Maybe that’s Monday-morning quarterbacking on my part, but ISTM that simply waiting until the suspect gave himself up due to thirst or hunger would have worked a lot better.

Or, assuming they knew his location, tear gas.

Yeh, I was thinking tear gas, too.

Now that pisses me off.

Adding anything to an underground pipe can cause asphyxiation. Playing heavy metal could cause hearing loss. Maybe pull out the LP of It’s a Small World.

Now that’s a war crime!

Maybe a few large buckets of red ants?

Those responsible for torching vehicles, attacking riot police and looting in Dublin today are not rioters, they’re “demonstrators”.

The ABC News official lexicon is very circumspect.

Agree 100%. Demonstrators arrive carrying signs and banners, not fireworks and “iron implements”. These scum came for a battle.

I mean, I hope they find out what caused it for the safety of other prisoners and staff, but I’m not sorry that it happened.

He was 78. Most likely natural causes.

Not sure how evil this is, but it’s clearly a money grab over her dead daughter’s ashes at the expense of the widower.
