Smuggling in something presumably made of leather seems pretty easy - just wrap it around your body, or thread it down your pants, depending on length. It’s not going to show up on a metal scanner.

Unfortunately, they’re not the only ones who would suffer the consequences. Being who they are, they would go everywhere coughing and spewing infection everywhere on everyone, and fomenting more mutations. That’s what we are supposed to have learned from the lockdown – they didn’t learn that, of course, not being able to learn, but we should have. The vaccine is not perfect protection for innocent bystanders. Then there is the economic and human stresses on medical care. No, I wouldn’t laugh at the situation. For every blowhard hoist by his own petard, there is more trouble in the world that we don’t need. Better to let the fraudster milk them for all they’re worth, and disappear with the takings to Barbados or somewhere.
