Omnibus Evil MFers in the news thread

Was it Jackie Chan? Because he’s great with the stunts but not so much the acting.

That explains John Wilkes Booth, too.

Thespians! Take some lessons before you kill someone.
(I’m going to keep my eye on you, Gwyneth…)

I dunno, I’d call “being funny” an acting skill, and Chan is pretty good at that. Granted, it’s usually a physical sort of comedy with a lot of overlap with the stunts.

I feel guilty about continuing this very non-evil hijack, but not guilty enough to refrain from posting this 2010 thread: “Hey, when did Jackie Chan and Shah Rukh Khan turn into real actors?”

Update on this story; the “security guard” has been charged with second-degree murder, and it turns out this wasn’t even the first time he stalked an unarmed person that he thought had a gun because he “thought he would have to shoot them”.

I really wish this state hadn’t abolished the death penalty.

That reminds me so much of the film Observe and Report.

While that movie was a comedy, it was extremely dark, and the protagonist was a dangerous nutcase.

And now, a story from my neck of the woods with a happy ending.

Here in Olympia, there is a stretch of disused railroad track down by the water from when our port was busier than it is today. It’s been abandoned for decades and is no longer usable, and at some point, I don’t know when, people painted a rainbow pattern onto the tracks that you can see from the main bridge between downtown and the west side. It’s become an unofficial landmark locals call “the Rainbow Rails”.

Then, late last Thursday night (between midnight and 2 AM based on live Google data that was viewable that day), the chuds climbed out of their subterranean holes and spray-painted them all black and white for “straight pride”. The police aren’t investigating it because it’s abandoned property, but we suspect it was Patriot Front, since they defaced one of our public Pride murals two Junes ago.

Fortunately, our community is awesome, and by that afternoon a bunch of volunteers had shown up to repaint the rails, which are now back to their former splendor.

The repainting even made it on the evening news in Seattle.

I’m surprised the chuds didn’t paint them all only white.

Nitpick: the ties (sleepers, if you’re British) were painted, not the rails.

Upon arrival, he told staffers he was a member of the Four Tops, and had “current security concerns due to stalkers and fans.” The complaint says that the employees did not believe him, and took him off oxygen and pursued a psych evaluation instead of the emergency medical treatment he needed.

Morris says his requests for oxygen were “ignored,” and he was put in a restraining jacket. When he asked to be removed from the restraints so that he could leave and get treatment at a different hospital, his request was denied, according to the complaint. He also alleges that the late security guard, who is white, told him to “sit his Black ass down” when he asked if he could show ID to prove his identity.

In Missouri, if they discover you were actually innocent, you probably better not be the wrong sort or they might decide to kill you anyway. DNA has found this man has no connection to the crime, and the prosecutors do not think he actually did it, but the governor and SCotsoMO still think offing him is the right thing to do.

I gotta laugh at this part of the article, though:

“Morris was then put back on oxygen and ultimately diagnosed with a heart infraction that may require a heart transplant and pneumonia.”

I did not know that pneumonia was a recognized treatment for heart infraction!

If your heart commits an infraction, they sentence it to pneumonia.

Dan

Chuds doing their thing across the state too.

If they’re Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers they’d be much easier to spot.

CHUDs are choads?

Bicyclist in Missouri survives 13 hour ordeal after jumping off a bridge to avoid being struck by an asshole SUV driver.

I’m confused.

To avoid the collision, Jeremiah Koch, 43, said he jumped off his bicycle over the concrete barrier of the bridge, falling 22 feet, where he lay with multiple broken bones and trauma.

There is no word yet on who hit Koch. An investigation is ongoing.

I think the ground hit Koch, I don’t think you need to investigate that.

Obviously poorly written. But the authorities are still trying to figure out who tried to hit him with his SUV.

It will never be known if this was an accident by an inatentive driver or deliberate.
