An Arizona gun dealer has been arrested for plotting a mass shooting at a Bad Bunny concert with the intent of provoking a race war.
That sounds pretty clearly deliberate, to me. Before it got to the point where he jumped off a bridge, the cyclist would surely have been yelling and screaming.
Good point. He delibratlely jumped. A fall that nearly killed him.
That’s chilling. And, thankfully, the attempted perp is none too bright in tactics, since he was talking about it to anyone who would listen.
This part, though:

Something about that says to me that he knows they’re people, they’re just people he wants to kill. It wouldn’t be as enjoyable if they really were non-human monsters.

When I was a kid in San Diego, we were more concerned about the “Zonies” horning in on our turf, so it’s amusing that it’s now the other way around. We used to make a habit of looking for Arizona license plates so we could sneer at them.
There have been several evil crimes intended to start a race war, dating back to the Manson Family murders in the 1970’s. Oddly enough, absolutely none of the killing has provoked a race war. Yet these morons keep trying.
