I wasn’t sure where else to share this, but a suspect has been arrested in a serial killer case on Long Island. Whoever this person is, I hope the worst for them and a speedy capture.
No more housing for those people, say homeowners
I suspect these are many of the same people who were frothing at the mouth and screaming at town halls about The Affordable Care Act.
We are now at the point where we are openly advocating against the basic needs of our own people. No health care, no place to live… just fuck off somewhere else.
If I were to adjudicate the case I would order the immediate sale of the offenders property with proceeds to go to full restoration. Also massive fines against the company that did the cutting as they obviously knew they were trespassing. (They had to go over a fence and cut down a tree with a no trespassing sign on it and then hid the sign )
…and make sure you’re not late for work (that’s a fifteen-mile walk from whatever shanty you ARE able to find) (and the transportation isn’t my problem, either, before you start whining to ME)…
Link no worky.
Huh. Here it is again: Warfare Against Renters
Ah yes, the “I’ve got mine” point of view. It’s especially poignant when the person leading the charge is, himself, a recent émigré.
'Tis a time-honored tradition to pull up the ladder behind you as soon as you’ve scrambled up it.
This needs to go in the Fuck Texas thread also:
Read the whole CNN story for the horrific details. Also this compassionate response from Abbott:
In response to the reporting, Abbott released a statement to CNN.
“Texas is deploying every tool and strategy to deter and repel illegal crossings between ports of entry as President Biden’s dangerous open border policies entice migrants from over 150 countries to risk their lives entering the country illegally. The absence of razor wire and other deterrence strategies encourages migrants to make unsafe and illegal crossings between ports of entry, while making the job of Texas National Guard soldiers and DPS troopers more dangerous and difficult. President Biden has unleashed a chaos on the border that’s unsustainable, and we have a constitutional duty to respond to this unprecedented crisis,” the governor’s statement read.
I considered putting this in the Omnibus Stupid MFers thread, but considering the kind of harm these swindlers caused, it seemed a better fit here:
A federal jury in Miami on Wednesday found a Florida family guilty of defrauding the United States by distributing a toxic bleaching agent as a Covid-19 cure, according to court records.
Mark Grenon and his sons, Jonathan, Jordan and Joseph Grenon, were convicted of promoting and selling “Miracle Mineral Solution,” which “when mixed, develops into a dangerous bleach which has caused serious and potentially life-threatening side effects,” according to the FDA, which issued a warning about the product in 2019.
The solution contains sodium chlorite and water, court records said. The Grenons instructed customers to mix the solution with an “acidic activator,” which produces chlorine dioxide, “a powerful bleaching agent typically used for bleaching and stripping textiles, pulp, and paper.”
According to the criminal complaint, the Grenons claimed the “Miracle Mineral Solution” was a “miracle cure-all,” which could not only treat, prevent and cure Covid-19, but also “a variety of serious diseases and disorders, including cancer, Alzheimer’s, autism, malaria, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and HIV/AIDS.” They advised the solution could be used to treat both adults and children.
And of course they tried to hide behind religion:
in order to evade government regulation, the family sold the solution under “the guise of Genesis II Church of Health and Healing.” The Grenons said in an interview they had founded Genesis – described as “a non-religious church” – in order to evade legal regulations around Miracle Mineral Solution, the complaint said.
This guy wanted to make a supervillain island lair with his brother’s money.
I’m pretty sure that the courts have already decided that “my religion says I have to do it” isn’t a defense against murder.
And while I’m happy to see them found guilty of fraud, why wasn’t attempted murder in the list of charges?
Lack of Intent. They didn’t want to kill the rubes. Harder to fleece them iffen theys ded.
Except that Gabe Bankman-Fried wasn’t planning to use his brother’s money. Like everyone at FTX, he viewed the money entrusted to the firm as his personal piggy bank.
Looks like this evil mf hasn’t been mentioned on the dope before. She killed her boyfriend and cut off his head and genitals, which she left in a bucket that his mother found.
Makes my bucket list seem pretty tame by comparison …
So that’s what happened to Loonette from The Big Comfy Couch…
Non paywall link…for y’all
Ah, Taylor Schabusiness.
I’m quite glad I’m retired now so I am unlikely to have to deal with her in any way.
At least she’s not in holy orders. Then she’d be Nun Schabusiness.
An eastern Kentucky man has been given a life sentence for murdering his 33-week pregnant girlfriend, to keep her from testifying about his meth trafficking operation. He’s not really that bad a guy according to his attorney.
“Gary Proctor, a defense attorney for Nantz, said closure of the case yielded no winners and his client accepted responsibility for his crimes. “We came here knowing what was going to happen today,” Proctor said, adding that of all the murder cases he has defended, Nantz was the only one who ever drove the victim to the hospital. “That speaks to some innate good inside of him,” he said.”
What the defense lawyer failed to mention is that his client claimed the woman shot herself. Earlier, he reportedly drove the body to the location of an unfinished kidnapping he’d had to postpone to accomplish the murder.
A real prince.
