A bar in Seattle announced discount prices for people with covid and advertised “come see the show, maybe catch the virus or just stay home and whine.” Bands have backed out from working in the bar and employees have quit.
Lynnwood is not Seattle, it’s not even in the same county. “Seattle area” certainly but not Seattle. I used to live pretty close to Lynnwood, and the Alderwood Mall there isn’t bad.
The article subtitle is misleading; an employee posted the ad online without the owner’s knowledge or permission and got fired (or so the owner claims). But that employee was certainly a stupid MFer.

October was when a good number of my coworkers were canned or “retired early”. The state employee vaccine mandate took its toll. But I was glad to know my remaining coworkers are vaccinated. And we didn’t lose as many as I’d expected.
None of the people I know were as vocal as this guy though. His death shows why this mandate was right and so are the state’s efforts to keep people safe.
Unfortunately, backlash to the mandates has resulted in a dramatic decline in stupid MFers. If our net intelligence creeps too high, it will doom our consumer economy and finance industry. We need our idiots.
If Lynnwood is populated by that sort of covidiots, I’d recommend getting straight outta there.

I lived in Everett for a few years, just north of Lynnwood on I-5, and it had its fair share of nutjobs. Across the street from me was a guy with a fully-fenced off yard, we’re talking TALL chain link fence, chickens running around everywhere, blacked-out windows, and a giant “Don’t Tread On Me” flag flying from a pole in his yard. I stayed away from that house.
