That’s just lazy journalism. How about:
The police have their eyes on a suspect
The police have a suspect in their sights
Authorities are drawn to a particular individual in this case
?

Eyes, eyes, baby.
And completely opaque, making faceting it pretty silly.
They facet all manner of opaque stuff. I have seen faceted jet, ffs.
It has been a historic week on "Wheel of Fortune," as Wednesday marked the first three-peat in bonus round history.
Soooooo…a rough day then?
Or, is this for good?
Heh.
“I’m outta here,” Sajak muttered. “That’s it. I’m through.”
‘Wheel of Fortune’ win too much for Pat Sajak: ‘It seems impossible, doesn't it?’

Our local NBC affiliate carries Wheel of Fortune each weekday evening at 6:30 pm. Of course, this is the week that NBC is carrying the Olympics, so we have not seen any of these three shows this week.
Of course, I could get up really early and watch WOF at 4:00 am, but probably not.

Oh, yeah!
The Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk is a retired American single-seat, subsonic, twin-engined, stealth attack aircraft developed by Lockheed's secretive Skunk Works division and operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). It was the first operational aircraft to be designed with stealth technology. Work on what would become the F-117 commenced in the 1970s as a means of countering increasingly sophisticated Soviet surface-to-air missiles (SAMs). During 1976, the Defense Advanced Research Proje...
Passengers said it all started when a man claimed the woman behind him was sticking him with a needle to steal his DNA, and things escalated from there.
It started when a passenger began loudly complaining, claiming the woman in the seat behind him was sticking him with a needle to steal his DNA, according to a passenger onboard.
He became more agitated and allegedly began threatening other passengers, including a baby, and said he would kill everyone on board.
Truck convoy demonstrators in Ottawa headed to the city's airport on Thursday, as an expansion of the occupation near Parliament Hill that has being going on for two weeks now.
Additionally, Ottawa police alerted the public that they are aware of a “concerted effort” to “flood” 911 and the non-emergency reporting line. “This endangers lives and is completely unacceptable,” a tweet from Ottawa police reads.
Yep - this is now the level of reprehensible scumbaggery these weak-minded fucking podunks are up to.
"It is a crime to unnecessarily call 911 or our non-emergency number (613-236-1222). We track calls and will charge anyone deliberately interfering with emergencies.
Cool, although I’m guessing the losers will block their calls or whatever.
You can’t block 9-1-1. Your phone GPS is also always available to 9-1-1, too.
Heh. TIL.
Thanks!
I do find it curious that those who support the massive disruption and intimidation caused by these truckers, are also the same ones who feel that a union going on strike for better working conditions is unmitigated evil.

Lemme guess ,PCP? too much coke? Psychotic or just Qanon? This looks like what we used to get admitted to the psych ward on weekends, including the 6 people needed to restrain.

This one really sounds like it could be someone having a psychotic break or other genuine mental health crisis, rather than just the endless stories of ignorant entitled assholes disrupting flights. Although I guess if it turns out to be drugs they deserve no compassion.

Agreed
That’s a click-baity headline if ever I saw one. As the article says, this was the third game in a row where someone won the top prize of $100,000 in the bonus round. After it happened, Sajak jokingly walked off the set briefly, in a sort of “Well, now I’ve seen everything” way. He wasn’t upset, and he certainly didn’t quit or anything. He was back onstage for the wrap-up at the end.
The clip is on YouTube if you want to watch it. In this case, I’d say the only “stupid MFers” are the headline writers.
Ah, thank-you for posting that.
Didn’t cross my mind to follow up on that, figuring that the yahoo article would have reported things correctly, which, indeed, it sure didn’t.
I’m sure they think nothing of killing people indirectly by flooding 911. These are the people who set an apartment building on fire & taped the doors shut because the residents were complaining about their horns/noise.
Police are investigating what appears to be an attempt to start a fire in the lobby of a downtown Ottawa apartment building, where tenants say they have been…
From that article:
The building manager showed him surveillance video, which he said appears to show two men light a package of the bricks in the lobby and secure the front door handles together before leaving through the side door around 5 a.m. Sunday.
The video also shows a different man enter the building and put the fire out a short while later, he said in an interview.
(The “bricks” were firestarters, not construction bricks.)
I wonder whether the arsonists bragged to some other* member of the convoy, who had slightly more sense or compassion, and so went in and put the fire out?
(* that presumes that the arsonists were themselves members of the convoy; which does seem likely but as far as I can tell isn’t (yet) proven.)

You known darn well they were sooper sekrit Antifa agents trying to make the convoy heroes look bad.
^ Heh, Horatius is that you?
