Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

Anyone who deals with these situations knows the solution about deflating tires. No 8 year old told them something they didn’t know.

I’d just like to re-submit the glaring exception to this sage post:

I would posit that the list of things an eight year-old could teach this particular trucker is shockingly long and painfully basic.

The truck drivers don’t need to know. It’s the cops and tow truck operators, and they know. Not that they’re aren’t below average representatives in both groups.

Wow. My grandmother had that book for us kids when we visited. That’s a hell of a blast from the past!

I find it truly amazing that someone connected with Fox actually tried not only broadcasting the news but defending broadcasting said news.

He’s an Englishman who is a foreign correspondent for Fox News, and has written for the NYT and BBC among others. He’s not the usual Fox hand puppet.

not in the news itself but I’m pitting a lot of these the dumbfucks in the comment section for political and environmental stupidity

One of the members of the truckers’ convoy is pissed that DC drivers are flipping them off for slowing down traffic,

My guess is that most DC denizens would attest that you generally get flipped off on a near-daily basis by other drivers.

Leave it to the FluTrucksKlan to think it’s all about them

'Cuz, no one ever flipped off them greasy anti-war protesters in the '60s, nosiree, we was all polite and respectful to them’uns.

They obviously have conveniently forgotten about this small incident.

“For you, the day Beltway drivers subjected you to delays, reckless endangerment and abuse was the most important day of your life. But for them…”

Congressman Massie from Kentucky, joined by a bunch of other Republicans, has announced a lawsuit to overturn masking requirements for airline passengers. The lawsuit supposedly is targeting “faceless bureaucrats”. From the Lexington Herald-Leader"

“Sen. Rand Paul, a continual critic of government mandates, has signed on as a co-plaintiff. The named defendants are CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and CDC chief of staff, Sherri Berger.”

Well then, guess they’re not really “faceless”, are they?

But that’s how you stir up resentment against people doing their jobs and trying to protect the public. They’re not human after all, they’re malevolent Things.

So, wouldn’t the result of this succeeding be a mandate from the government to not wear masks?

Indeed. “We don’t want the government telling you what to do so we, the government, are telling you what to do about it!”

“We dont want those faceless bureaucrats telling you what to do, we want our faceless bureaucrats telling you what to do!”

Does the CDC have the power that is being imputed to them, to require facemasks on airplanes? I thought it was the Transportation Security Administration’s requirement. The CDC proposes, and TSA disposes.

Looks like it is/was an FAA thing (5pp PDF)
