Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

Like this!

It’s a mental illness. I’m not being snarky, I’m being literal. You truly do need to be delusional to buy into this. This isn’t like your usual Q or MAGA conspiracy theories that people buy into. There aren’t powerful media figures and politicians behind this. These are people choosing to reject reality around them for something more comforting to them, convinced by the fringe of the fringe. There has to be something wrong with you already before you fall into this.

As frustrating and dangerous as this is, it’s also legitimately sad. It’s a delusion that ruins people’s lives.

What does “judge issues 15k bench warrant” mean exactly? I can’t understand the audio.

Because the defendant wanted to play games the judge played along and since said defendant refused to identify himself and therefore ‘failed to appear’ the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest with a $15,000 bail requirement.
(I’m betting he was arrested right after the video stopped, while he was still in the courtroom.)

He’s right, you know. That judge should be training all the others how to handle these numbnuts.

I listened to a few more of those sovereign citizen arguments in courts, including one in the UK, which just blows my mind.

Why do all these people sound like their heads have been used for dribbling practice by Marcus Haynes and then Curly Jones ?

Gotta love the USians citing the Magna Carta and the non-Americans citing the US Constitution!

Props for the Real Genius reference, my dude.

One of the best moments of my tenure in BIOT was when the American defendant told the magistrate, “I’m exercising my rights under the Fifth Amendment”.

Yeah; it didn’t impress the magistrate.

There was a case in Scotland where they were citing the Magna Carta, which only applies to England.

At least he got the continent right.

What it should do is make them ‘outlaws’ in the original sense of the word: Literally outside the law. You can steal their stuff, injure, and even kill them with no consequence to you.

Yeah, they’ll have guns but they’ll find out there’s always somebody meaner and who can shoot straighter than they can.

Well, there was a member once who went by the name @Rue_DeDay. I would imagine that he talked like that.

The problem is that American law requires a renunciation of United States citizenship to be performed in front of a United States consular official outside the United States.

The funniest thing about these idiots is that they pretend that while traveling in the United States, they are magically not subject to US law. Everyone, except certain diplomats, is subject to the law. That’s why those sovcit idiots have taken to pretending they’re diplomats.

What’s not funny is that they are, in fact, dangerous, known to have murdered. They are not some yokel’s crazy Uncle Harry that people just nod and agree with during a holiday dinner.

Yeah. Looks like you can only renounce your citizenship within the US during a time of war. Bummer, that.

Huh, never considered that. I assume it’s to prevent someone suddenly becoming stateless hundreds of miles from the nearest border?

Doubly idiots then, because diplomats aren’t automatically granted any immunity from prosecution. It’s a matter of treaty and convention and generally only covers activities related to professional diplomatic activities, rather than personal activities.

Some diplomats importing slaves…er sorry “domestic workers” …have learned this lesson the hard way.

And those diplomats are subject to expulsion.

How would that work when it comes to SovCits-Expulsion to where?

I’m sure some land could be set aside as their new country. Say 10x10 yards. Tell them they’re not allowed to enter the US without going through Immigration just like any non-US citizen from a foreign country. Deny entry.
