After about 5 moves, it may not really matter. I’d have to put way more thought into it though. I have construction workers here now repairing flood damage, and I’m a bit distracted…
Phrasing!
Facebook has banned all advertising of Roy Scheider’s last film, “Beautiful Blue Eyes”, which is about a New York cop looking for the Nazi who killed his family, because the title is racist.
Yet more evidence why Facebook sucks.
Girls in a Nash County, NC public school were complaining of rape threats and sexual harassment online. So naturally, school administrators held an assembly to blame the problem on the way the girls dress.
The follow-up statements were the epitome of “not good enough.” Welcome to the twenty-first century, Nash County Schools, where girls and their parents don’t put up with this shit.
Roy Scheider died 14 years ago. According to IMDb, a few planned scenes were not filmed before his death. This is a new release with CGI used to complete the missing scenes.
I think this qualifies.
It may also be the finest URL I’ve ever read.
What is it with these guys (and yeah, they’re pretty much all men) and fast food chains?
I don’t see why not, it qualified days ago when it was first posted in this thread.
Ewww.
There’s a POV I don’t need.
Stephen Colbert talked about this on the “Meanwhile” segment of his show, after the break after the opening monologue. He followed it up with a bit about them the new nominees for the National Toy Hall of Fame. I think they missed a wonderful opportunity to tie the two news items together, because in my opinion Anal Bead Chess is a shoo-in for the National Toy Hall of Fame.
Or else Colbert’s writing staff just has much more class than I do, and refused to go there.
It could make Bingo much more interesting, anyway.
I’m not a big chess guy, but is that what they mean when they talk about the “Queen’s Gambit”?
Yes, and often why it is followed by the other side with the Queen’s Gambit Declined
What ‘chu talkin’ about. Haute cuisine, that is – mighty fine eating.
Sorry. I had not read the whole thread, just stumbled on it yesterday. And also did not notice that the PA MAGAt moron story was not fresh. I’d just heard about that yesterday too.
Oops.
I still don’t get it. If I’m playing White against Magnus and Black against So, do I start as Black, watch So’s move, not do anything, then go to Magnus and play So’s move, wait for Magnus’ move, then go back to So and play Magnus’ move?
Yes - it’s like chess by mail, and you are the post office transporting the moves to the real players.
