Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

The school will almost certainly put far more effort into identifying and punishing the girls who secretly recorded the assembly than they will towards solving the problem in the first place.

There was a fatal truck vs. pedestrian collision nearby, about 05:30 Thursday.

[A] truck was traveling southbound on Portal Way and struck a male pedestrian who was in the roadway and wearing dark clothing in a dimly lit area before sunrise.

The roads here are narrow. OK, Portal Way isn’t that narrow; but it’s not very wide either. Streetlights are not prevalent. It’s not a good idea – some may say it’s stupid – to be walking on a narrow, poorly-lit (unless it was the actual intersection) roadway whilst wearing dark clothing when it’s still dark out.

A guy who threatened mass murder of the employees of Meriam-Webster dictionary because they updated the definitions of pronouns, has pled guilty to one count of interstate communication of threats to commit violence, which carries a potential sentence of up to five years in prison, three years of supervised release and a fine of $250,000.

Well, the Bloodhound Gang said that Webster is the Anti-Christ…

There are many types of scan-and-go thefts, including customers who intentionally do not scan items, or scan cheaper items than what they put in their carts.

Ya think?

Yeah, this sounds like a nominee for the If Youda Asked Me, I Coulda Told Ya award.

My local store City Market had that, maybe it still does. But nobody seemed to use it. I tried it a few times but it was a real pain in the ass. Many of the bar codes wouldn’t scan with the device, and produce buying was it’s own special type of hell.

And you still had to go weigh all of your stuff. There was not point in it.

Police handcuff woman in back of a car - on railroad tracks

A 20-year-old woman inside a police car parked on railroad tracks north of Platteville was injured when a train struck the vehicle, Colorado officials reported. A Colorado Bureau of Investigation news release said a Platteville police officer investigating a road rage incident stopped the woman at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, near U.S. 85 and Weld County Road 38. The woman stopped “just past the railroad tracks” and the officer stopped behind her “on the tracks,” the release said.

I thought automated checkout was going to eliminate those cushy checkout clerk and bagger jobs and show those hoity-toity folks demanding a living wage for that work

Was he twirling his mustache?

See, I knew if I left that punchline opportunity lying there, someone would pick it up.

If true, this is beyond stupid. He should be fired. Holy shit. No drivers license for you either.

“No officers were hurt in the crash.”

Well, that makes it all OK. Carry on.

Up Next: Train conductor ticked for not going around parked police car with it’s emergency lights on.

Well I’d be ticked too if I wasn’t able to go around it.

Russian TV anchor suggests that Russia should have bombed the UK during the funeral.

Germany’s far right party has an arrow as its logo. They ordered gummi logos to hand out as election appeals. They look like penii.

I started a thread about this almost a week ago

They could always commission a greenhouse grower to produce large quantities of this sweet pepper variety to hand out to supporters.

Gardening pervs can easily find seed of “peter peppers” for home growing.

This thread begs the question: Is it possible for the conglomerate known as “Stupid MFers” to reach, for the lack of a better term, a “critical mass”? By that I mean, can we get so many of them that there aren’t enough competent people left to run our society? I only ask because, over time, it seems to me that there are more and more of them and less and less of us.
