I was hoping this was a family vacation deal, and when he showed up at the gate without the kid, someone was heading back to Hertz to retrieve the kid.
Instead, I’m wondering if there is a grandma involved? Because leaving a two-year old alone in a house while you return a rental car doesn’t sound like something even the most rabid free-range children advocate would go for.
I’m not surprised. If you ever saw Q: Into the Storm (great documentary), in the midst of filming Brennan had to flee the Philippines for his life. (He was charged with libel under the country’s insanely draconian law and due to his extreme health problems and the terrible conditions in Philippine prisons, he was likely to die if he didn’t escape.)
