The whole story is bizarre. It says Air India got a huge amount of flak for how they handled it, and rightly so it would seem - why wasn’t the guy arrested as he got off the plane? Why did the victim have to write to Air India’s management? WTF is going on with the perpetrator arranging to have the victim’s clothes and luggage cleaned, and being in touch with her on Whatsapp to arrange this, how did that come about?
If some pisses on me on a plane, I don’t want them kindly arranging to have my clothes cleaned. I don’t want any contact with them - they should be arrested, charged and sued.
I couldn’t tell from the story whether he’s supposed to have done it on purpose, or by accident (that is, pissed himself while drunk messily enough to have gotten it on the person in the next seat, or something of that sort.) While either case is both oh yuck and the clothes need to be cleaned, it does seem to make some difference, including probably in whether he should or could be arrested.
The article also said he went “on the run” for a while before being arrested. I think we can infer from that something egregious while extremely drunk, rather than just a little accident.
It seems obvious to me that they deferred to his status as a first-class passenger and executive of a global bank. I don’t know who the victim was but she probably wasn’t as high-status. So they encouraged them to settle it between themselves (much as parents might encourage two feuding children to resolve a spat between themselves) and thought that they could avoid the embarrassment of having a passenger arrested at landing.

It’s only one revelation, but so many people put an S on the end. Maybe assuming there were many, like Aesop’s tales, or those of Nostradamus.
So it’s in the same category as, but this pales in comparison to, TWO Corinthians.
But unlike the TWO Corinthians guy, I’ve never claimed to be a bible scholar.

I agree. I felt it was worth bringing attention to such a great line in an article that doesn’t really require reading past the headline.
Although a witness came forward who thought it was more of an “Arrrrrrrrh!”
I’m sure further investigation will shed some light.
