This thread made me wonder what the popularity of tentacle porn reflects about the culture of Japan? They’re a closed, insular, sometimes xenophobic society; this is just idle speculation - which is to say, total ass-pull - but I wonder if hentai has the titillation of the taboo, around the idea of submission to the Other, or alien?
