Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 1)

“These folks” and “aware” are like magnets with the same poles facing each other.

:+1:

A family of Individual 1 supporters committed group suicide because the same demons attacking their Messiah was also attacking them.

Well, from my extensive research (watching Swooner Crooner) chickens need a rooster that sings like Bing or Frankie before they can lay eggs. And when has Looney Toons ever steered me wrong on such matters?

How do I know it’s Black History Month? Simple, friends; simple. The food vendor for Nyack Middle School in New York served their own version of Fluffy’s gift basket. From the first link, here are two intersting tidbits:

“This was a mistake and does not represent the values of our company, and we are committed to doing better in the future.”

This is not the first time that Aramark has found itself in hot water for racially stereotyped menus. In 2018, the food vendor served NYU students a “Black History Month Menu” with ribs, collard greens, cornbread, smashed yams, mac and cheese, red Kool-Aid and watermelon-flavored water. The incident angered students, according to CNN, and eventually prompting the university to stop using Aramark as their food provider in 2019.

Similarly, back in 2011, the food-service company offered students at the University of California Irvine “MLK Holiday Special: Chicken and Waffles,” according to a Los Angeles Times article.

Looks to me like that is very much your corporate culture, folks. You people need to get into another line of business. Or out of business altoghether.

Color me unsurprised that racists are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Well, they are doing the same refusing the COVID vaccine, so not really a surprise.

I sure am glad these two evil people were found out.

Geez, oh Pete.

On the one hand that sounds delicious. But on the other hand, yeah that’s racist.

Plus, white folks love that shit too dammit. Chicken and waffles and watermelon are universal!

It just reminds me of this old bit from Dave Chappelle:

He’s right, chicken is just delicious. Why do we need to put racist baggage on this stuff? Just enjoy food you like, let others enjoy food they like, and don’t act like there is something genetic involved.

Is there any time of year where it would be acceptable to serve that? (I’ve had chicken, and I’ve had waffles, but I’ve never had chicken ‘n’ waffles.)

When done well it’s a wonderful blend of savory, salty, and sweet. You also have the textural difference between the crunchy breading on the fried chicken, the spongy/crispy waffle, and the meat of the chicken.

At Amy Ruths’ in Harlem, every day of the year.

Here too.

And here.

And don’t forget the maple syrup on the chicken.

It sounds so wrong but it’s so good.

Oh man, I don’t want to find out. Sounds disgusting.

It’s surprisingly tasty.

:man_shrugging: We all have our tastes, and we all draw the line somewhere.

I like peperoni, jalapeno and pineapple pizza for instance. That’s a Rubicon too far for my wife, so I rarely get it. I also like homemade pasta. I make the real stuff that starts with flour and eggs. My wife prefers the boxed stuff. Or can’t tell the difference.

I was going to point out last night, before our Xfinity modem rudely died, that I meant serving at schools and/or institutions; not chicken’n’waffle restaurants.

Stupid MF’er antivaxer dies.

But wait - it’s not what you might think. He did not die of Covid. He died of a fentanyl overdose.
While I don’t think that everyone who dies of a fentanyl overdose is a stupid MF’er, this guy qualifies I think. He thought Covid was a hoax, and probably thought that the poisonous drug supply was a hoax too. Oh, and he was also apparently a flat-earther.
