He’s been on the air for 40 years, maybe it’s time for him to move on. He has said he expects to be back on the air tomorrow; he’s quit before. Sadly, his show is a huge money maker for the station and they’ll probably come to some arrangement so he’s back on the air.
That was a nothing burger of an article. Was it something he said on the air, or an argument he had with management? Was he reading the news and made a comment? Is he a talk show host? Was it a jokey comment? Was it a serious thought piece? Was it a shock jock rant? Was it part of a bit?

He basically said that non-binary is bullshit, and Demi Lovato is just a very confused and troubled woman (hsi words, not mine). He railed against wokeness and said that later that his boss called and told him he was out of line. He fake quit after that, but later said that he expects to be back on the air tomorrow (today).

Setting aside the question of whether his BS about Lovato deserves further consequences, it’ll be interesting to see how he handles the next non-binary news tidbit to come his way. Which there is sure to be.

I suspect the rebuke from management (I thought it occurred off air) is real, but toothless. He’s the biggest money maker for the station, and they know it. With the music he plays, he’s not attracting the angry white men demographic any time soon.
I don’t know any of the details. By “on-air rebuke” I was really meaning rebuke that promptly became known to the audience. As in this wasn’t handled quietly in an office 2 hours after he was off the air then later leaked to the press.

People who use these terms are ALWAYS ignorant, backward, bigots. Not on the surface, not in their own minds, but scratch the surface and you’ll find they’re exactly like the conservatives they pretend to criticize. It is impossible to be a decent human and think terminology like this is acceptable ever.
They are not every day average Americans. They are evil fucks. And most are unquestionably stupid. That helps when you deny the avalanche of evidence that contradicts your position.
This supports my theory that the Cold War conspiracy era is gone. All the classic stories like UFO encounters, Bigfoot sightings, Communist infiltrations, JFK assassinations, and the New World Orders, have faded into obscurity. QAnon has established its seniority, and will take generations to go away.

Actually, I think it’s the other way around. Being smart helps you to deny an avalanche of evidence. The smarter you are, the easier it is to rationalize your position and find reasons why contrary evidence doesn’t really count.
Either way, they certainly aren’t “retarded”, “short-bus people”, or have “brain damage”.
As you say, they certainly don’t have “brain damage” in the sense of physical trauma to the gray matter.
But IMO they do have “mind damage”. They have been exposed to a very dangerous dose of professionally created propaganda carefully crafted using 21st Century applied psychology to short-circuit their critical thinking faculties and turn them into rage-a-holic followers of whatever guidance they are given.
Their minds may well be salvageable if we can stop them mainstreaming the dangerous drug most every waking minute. But as long as they are “high” on OANN, etc., they will be mind damaged. And will behave accordingly in severely antisocial ways.
That does not, under either our jurisprudence or my own ethical standards, excuse their behavior even a little bit. But it does show that the fix, to the degree there is one, must come from stopping the production and distribution of the dangerous drug by the few, rather than stopping the addictive and addicted consumption of it by the many.
