Some lamestreammedia organizations are dropping the Dilbert cartoon strip after its author described black people as a hate group, telling white people that they should get the hell away from blacks.
In 1992, Taco Bell attempted to open a taco stand in… Mexico. It lasted two years. They tried again in 2007, and closed all of their stores there in 2010.
Plenty of other American restaurant chains have franchises in Mexico, don’t they?
From what I’ve heard, though, it’s KFC that’s really had success expanding overseas. Apparently fried chicken hits just the right balance between “exotic” and “but not too exotic”, in a lot of cultures.
You know how we here on the Dope (and everybody IRL) point and laugh/retch at what furriners do to a hamburger or pizza? That’s what Mexicans were doing to Taco Bell.
Temper Tantrum at a pizzeria, due to (shock) Spanish language TV
In the video, an unidentified customer in the video confronts a counter employee over a Spanish-language channel being on in the eatery. She demands a refund and then threatens to “look up” the employee and “get them out of town.” In the expletive-filled viral video, the woman claims her family as been part of the Hatboro community for 200 years and that her grandfather fought in World War II.
Holy crap, I swear I thought the article was talking about the Hatbro Police, and I thought for a second they were cops with backwards baseball caps, or maybe some kind of self-appointed citizen activists.
“Yo, we’re the Hatbro Police, here’s my identification card. Sorry if the sharpie got smudged.”
I’d really have to guess, because the statistic isn’t visible for me without subscribing. And my guess would be either the UK or Germany. Or is it really France?
Okay, that’s weird. When I pulled up that site online, it was perfectly open, no paywall or blocking or anything. But when I clicked on the link I posted, I get a subscription notice. Odd.
A woman went to a car dealership and wanted to test drive a car. She had to provide her driver’s license. When she decided that she didn’t like the car, she left without her ID. She contacted the salesman and asked him to mail her her ID, but he said he was out of the office, so she said she’d try again on Monday. While waiting for him to allegedly come back into the office, she discovered that he had posted a video of himself, using his real name, urinating on her ID, with her name and address visible.
I have to ask, if she gave him her ID, that means that she drove without her license. In my experience, dealerships only make a copy of the ID, they don’t keep it.
I don’t think “driving without a license” means what you think it means. She has a license - even when it’s not in her possession. At worst she wouldn’t be able to to present a license upon request - which might get her a small fine at worst.
