Sue it all you want, it is 65 and you ain’t gettin’ nothing out of it.
Reading this post after some others made me do a double-take until I realized it was a reply to a different subject.
It’ll never stand up in court, anyway.
A mishearing is within the scope of meaning of a Freudian slip. Or at least it is to psychoanalysts, if not colloquially.
So, like a Freudian Wet Willie?
The allegedly Democratic mayor of New York:
Civil rights groups blasted the mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, after he said he believed God had made him mayor, appeared to support compulsory prayer in public schools and [said] “Don’t tell me about no separation of church and state.”
The evangelical “He Gets Us” campaign, partially paid for by Hobby Lobby, is not appreciated by the right wing. We already knew it wasn’t supported by the left. And now it turns out that the campaign is associated with the Swift Boats attacks on John Kerry.
I really thought that “Central Figure – Further” said “Central Figure – Führer”.
Congressman James Comer says that Biden’s dead son, and bronze star recipient, should have been prosecuted before he died.
Libertarian Party of Georgia:
“Taiwan is part of China.”
Here’s a version of the story for those who don’t have a Daily Beast subscription:
Huh?
How does that happen “accidentally”?
WT actual F? 44 emergency passports plus room and board in NYC for at least 4 days plus possible/likely airfare charges sounds like a pretty penny.
This is fucked up, but my question is: why does a British school class fly to Boston for a skiing holiday? I’ve never heard of the Boston area as a ski resort, and they could have traveled for much less money in much less time to the Alps.
My guess is they did it for the same reason that a school class in Dallas would fly to the Alps for a skiing holiday, rather than to Colorado. Doubtful if money or time is an issue.
I just thought that such a long trip must be pretty expensive for a school holiday. Must be one of those posh British private schools…
Wikipedia says it’s a language school, so my guess is they came to the US so they could practice their English.
If you read the Twitter exchange it’s apparently because they don’t want our kids fighting for Taiwan. That’s fair enough, but it seems like a bizarre way for a libertarian to express that view. Don’t people in Taiwan get to resist unification if they want to? If China says it wants Staten Island, will they tweet that Staten Island is part of China?
No ski resort in Boston, but it would be a good port of entry if going to New Hampshire or Vermont.
