It seems like every few years we get a story like this. Someone goes to their mom’s house to find she passed a few days earlier. Before calling the police, they run that stack of SS checks to the bank. But, another check will be here tomorrow, we’ll wait until that one comes then make the call…and suddenly it’s 6 months later, far too late to do anything without getting caught so mom gets moved into a freezer or buried in the backyard until the neighbors call about the smell.
