The sovcits are never the ones to root for. Their entire schtick is looking for confrontation and some of them are armed, looking for an excuse to murder someone.
Calling them “Sovereign Citizens” is too good for them. We need to start calling them for what they truly are: Sovereign Dumbasses.

See, the way it works is that over time as their shittiness becomes more apparent and infamous, the SovCit label becomes more and more of a pejorative, until eventually it’s the worst thing you can call them.
Consider how “Benedict Arnold” became slang for a coward and traitor, and it’s a big insult to call someone that name. So too does Sovereign Citizen become a name that tells you all you need to know about a person.
It’s true these guys are full of shit, but they are the inevitable result of a far right movement convinced it can create its own reality apart from established fact. “This is true because I want it to be true.” Just an extreme example of a widespread social phenomenon.
