Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 2)

You spelled “your ignorant” wrong.

Update on this one - turns out her source for the deButts pardon was, you guessed it, ChatGPT.

Active Secret Service director takes exception to Texas congressman who accuses him of shirking his duty at a 9/11 memorial. A heated shouting match ensues. The video in this story shows the both of them screaming at each other.

Thanks and sorry about that.

While reading your cite I noticed this Florida gem as one of the sidebar “you might also like” links:

It’s always dumb to enter water as a means of escape from police. Cite: Search Results for “water escape” – Lowering the Bar.

But jumping into the ocean a long way from both land and from any rescue boats the cops might own seems especially dumb. At least there are no alligators near there. Sharks OTOH …

But he got stoned, so it’s excusable.

I think it’s pretty irresponsible of anyone to post that on any platform, including this one.

I don’t know; Joey Mannarino does look an awful lot like the assassin of the UnitedHealthcare CEO. I wonder where he was at the time?

Surely anyone would be be frightened for his life if a 57 year old woman knocked on your door on a Sunday afternoon–especially if the woman was a vegan lifestyle writer.

Today I learned that Nick Fuentes lives 15 minutes away from me. Yuuuuuck.

“Your body-My pepperspray”.

I seriously thought someone posted two photos of him and didn’t realize the one on the left is an actual suspect photo.

Hey, Google AI, how long is the Minecraft movie?

90 minutes of 35mm film is 8,100 feet.

98 metres is 321.5 feet, so 3 minutes and 34 seconds.

My parents like to tell the story of us kids demanding to watch a movie and mom questioning whether it was too late to start it. She asked my dad “how long is the movie?” and 3-4ish year old me piped up with “about this long!”, holding my fingers apart the length of a VHS tape.

So is the lesson that Google AI is at the level of a three or four year old?

It’d be really funny, in a twisted sort of way, if it were to turn out that he actually is the killer, and that’s the reason why he’s worried about this.

I mean, since we live in the Stupidest Timeline and all.

If that! There is a bizarrely literal and simplistic aspect to AI that does remind me of a toddler, only AI has a larger vocabulary.

I remember my kid around that age telling me he knew how to drive. “Push the gas pedal and turn the steering wheel, it’s easy.”

I just typed “how to drive a car” into ChatGPT and got a longer response, at least. It covered braking and turning. Still a little too straightforward to be practical though.

I’ve done Google searches for stuff for work and some of the AI generated responses are incomplete to the point of possibly leading to unsafe product design.
