I’m going to have to take all of your word for how bad the game is, since the referenced video is gone.
It’s been preserved here;
Thank you for that.
That was even worse than I was expecting to see based on the reactions here. Holy shit.
Odd that the Nathie poster wasn’t too sure about how he felt about it. Vascillating?
A Jewish man in Miami Beach is facing charges of attempted murder following accusations that he opened fire on two men he believed were Palestinians but reportedly turned out to be Israeli visitors. According to arrest documents, at 9.30pm on Saturday surveillance video appeared to show Mordechai Brafman, 27, getting out of his truck and opening fire with a semiautomatic handgun at a vehicle as it passed. Brafman allegedly fired 17 times, striking one victim in the left shoulder and grazing the other’s left forearm. While in custody, Brafman spontaneously told detectives that while he was driving his truck, “he saw two Palestinians and shot and killed both”, arrest documents said.
Further complicating the incident, one of the injured men reportedly posted “death to the Arabs” in a message on social media after the shooting. “My father and I went through a murder attempt against antisemitic background,” he wrote.
Anyone familiar with the actress Julianne Moore? Well you will be shocked to know that she has been writing children’s books so damaging to innocent young minds:
Last Monday, the Department of Defense circulated a memo stating that it is examining library books “potentially related to gender ideology or discriminatory equity ideology topics”. After access to all library books was suspended for a week for a review, a “small number of items” were identified and have been kept for “further review”, it said.
Moore’s Freckleface Strawberry, a story about a girl who dislikes her freckles but learns to live with them, is among the books caught up in the blanket review, according to a list obtained by the Guardian. However, it is not known whether the title was selected for further review or for withdrawal.
The story is semi-autobiographical.
I already posted the Florida Jew story in Evil MFers but it richly deserves placement here too.
Is he a MAGAJew or a left wing nutjob?
And the victims aren’t much better…
From what I can tell, left wing thought trends toward inclusivity, away from othering, and generally favors more a more deliberate approach to identifying threats. If a left wing nutjob were to be shooting at people, it would be because they are or appear to be uber-wealthy, not because they look like ferriners.
Sane left-wing thought meets that description. And most nutjobs these days seem to be right-wing. But the Left has our nutjobs, too, and with nutjobs, all bets are off what they’ll think.
But what really matters though is, which side overwhelmingly let’s their nutjobs control them. A sense of proportion above all else is very important.
I am not even sure that is entirely accurate. RWNJs seem to get a lot of media coverage. They have entered a competition to see who can say the most outrageous thing, because their most insane and ridiculous blortings get covered like papal pronouncements.
In a left wing dominated culture, we would generally expect LWNJ silliness to be rejected/repudiated by the larger body of mainstream LWers (I think, at least, never having seen any culture that would qualify as LW-dominated). RWers appear to thrive on media attention and so allow ridiculousness to slide, because, attention: good.
Disturbing statistic: 45% of young men age 18~25 have never approached a woman in person. They have become addicted to the comfort and anonymity of electronic devices for teir social interactions.
I am guessing (assuming? hoping?) that the article means that they have never “approached” a woman in-person to ask for a date, rather than simply not ever being in physical proximity with a woman?
That article is citing a study that comes from here:
The “study” was an online poll where the author himself said:
My sample was also not as large as I would have liked
Calling it a “study” in the “My Unbounded Life” article is misleading to the point of falsehood. I gathered that the author of the poll just wanted some data for a discussion point. I don’t think it’s rational to draw any firm conclusions, such as the crazy claim that almost half of all men up to age 25 have never even approached a woman.
There certainly seem to be a good share of people on the right whose only interactions with women are via OnlyFans.
Jesus Christ, AP, please never start an article by saying “(Person X) passed” with the word “peacefully” right nearby if you’re going to proceed to tell us that they’re still alive.
It’s not from the AP (Associated Press); it’s “AFP” – which is a French news agency, “Agence France-Presse.” I might guess that that article was originally written in another language (French? Italian?), and then probably auto-translated into English.
Addicted, or just limiting “first contact” to a situation – online dating – where they know the other party is open to such contact because they chose to participate?
I’ve seen the opinion that “hitting on” a woman anywhere outside of a bar or similar venue is creepy because you’re objectifying her and she’s not there to be hit on, she’s there to work/learn/shop/eat/travel/etc, I can totally see that perspective, but that does limit the chances to approach a woman in person.
I’ve also seen the opinion that it’s creepy even in a bar because she’s there to drink and/or socialize with the people she’s there with, and you shouldn’t presume/ASSume she’s there to look for a date. If that’s so (and it sounds not unreasonable to me) what’s left? Where is it safe to assume she’s there to look for a date? In an online dating venue (or an equivalent real-world dating event like speed dating).
The problem may well be real, but blaming it on “electronic devices” is facile. It’s like people blaming kids for being on their electronic devices all the time rather than meeting or playing with other kids in person. But if you live in a sprawling suburb like most Americans, you’d have to drive to do that. Millions of parents have been frightened by “stranger danger” that their kid is is mortal danger if they walk, ride a bike, or (gods forbid!) take a bus by themself, so the parents have to drive the kid to everything until the kid is able to drive themself. If you’re 15, is it easier to ask mom for a ride to meet Billy, and possibly get an eyeroll because mom’s busy, or just text Billy?
My bad, but the point still stands - I saw “Pope Francis passed” and “peacefully” and my heart skipped a beat before my brain processed the rest of the sentence. Sloppy writing/translating.
