It looks like the National Civil Rights Museum maintains at least some of the teal door colors of the original Lorraine Motel, and Nike donates $$ to the museum, so there’s that.
The idea of primarily paying homage to the “King”, LeBron James, and secondarily to the legacy of MLK seems…off-color.
As an aside, I was there last week. It was well worth the visit, even though it’s mostly filled with depressing displays.

A man drove his car into Detroit Metropolitan Airport-as in, through the door, across the terminal and up to the ticket counter, crashing into it. He was seen being removed from the scene, yelling and in handcuffs, by airport police. It’s amazing no one was killed or seriously injured. Video at the link but videos of the actual crash are on social media and have a “WTF???” quality.
