Omnibus Stupid MFers in the news thread (Part 2)

At least the Tesla didn’t crash.

“In this case, the driver manually overrode self-driving by pressing the accelerator all the way to 100% of the accel pedal in this residential area,” wrote Ashok Elluswamy on X, the platform that is now part of Musk’s rocket company, SpaceX. “They reached a speed of 73 mph during the crash, and had the accelerator pressed even after the crash.”

Given Tesla’s questionable record on it, I’m gonna wait for a more official report.

This is the same company that had cars disengage the self-driving mode immediately before detecting they would crash just so they could claim the feature was not active when it happened.

The driver might have been at fault. But I’m not trusting anybody at Tesla of telling the whole, unvarnished truth on the matter

A Texas rancher has posted a $5000 reward for information that leads to the recovery of their missing pet.

Said pet is a giraffe.

I’m all the way up in Wisconsin and, on at least 4 occasions, I’ve seen reports of an escaped kangaroo. Also, more locally to me, an escaped wallaby.

I think there might even be one or two more that I’m not finding likes for.

On reddit, under this picture…

There was one in South Carolina this week.

Ask your cat if he’s seen a giant mouse lately.

A couple has been arrested for drugs found in a bag labled “Definitely not a bag full of drugs”.

“DEFFNTELY”

Did an AI draw that picture of the bag? Or did an AI make the image that was used on the bag?

It could be Sydney.

Looks like AI. Apparently this is the real bag, I think.

I’m not sure what a “lacky spuge” is and I hope I never have to find out.

“You must be from Cudahy!”

I remember that episode of Tom and Jerry!

Please be kidding.
Please be kidding.

I think Sylvester also ran into a kangaroo.

I think cartoon cats and kangaroos are a trope.

Googling “lacky spuge”, apparently that is the real bag. The other one was a different time someone was arrested with a bag of drugs that said it wasn’t a bag of drugs. Apparently that fits the sense of humor of druggies.

I’m tho athamed.

(and it wasn’t even me)

I couldn’t find an example of Tom Cat and a baby kangaroo. I did look, and I’m happy to be wrong.

They’re newer cartoons but I have kids.
