From the Registration Agreement (which you should have read when registering):

You are free to express your views in a forceful manner provided you remain civil. Hate speech, insults, and purposely inflammatory remarks (i.e., trolling) will not be tolerated.

Bolding mine. Trolling does not necessarily require that the position taken must be insincere. The principle requirement is that the post is for the principle intention of making people angry or upset.

True, the Pit did adopt looser standards when Giraffe took over; now it takes someone admitting to trolling for the local mod to take action.
