A good example of value being objective can be found in the “value” of magic mushrooms vs. the “value” of beer. Magic mushrooms, whose primary hallucinogenic ingredient I believe is psilocybin, inspire the kind of driveling pseudo-existentialist bloviations for which our resident hallucinatory nitwit has become so well known here, whereas beer enables one to enjoy life.
Less magic mushrooms, more beer – there’s an objective value proposition! And furthermore, it’s a key to good living and less annoyance on the board that I heartily wish our adolescent would-be existentialist sophist would embrace with all of his Buddhist sensibilities. Even better, of course, he could just fuck off; Lord knows, for most of us that day couldn’t come too soon. He was already warned about these tiresome threads but, as someone else already mentioned somewhere, that mod stepped down and the matter is no longer getting a lot of attention.
