This is a big part why why his argument is so stupid. His claim is that it is laughable that conservatives are bigoted because there are more interracial power couples in DC on the right than on the left. This is a dumb argument even if the facts supported it, which they probably do not and I’m not going to bother to check because Clarence Thomas’s wife’s skin color does not make the Proud Boys disappear.
It’s compounded stupid that his other example of an interracial DC power couple besides Clarence and Ginny Thomas is Mia and Jeff Love. Mia’s entire job appears to be going on CNN to hem and haw about whether the latest racist thing our racist president did was in fact racist. Jeff Love, on the other hand, does not appear to be political at all. I’m not even sure they live in DC.
Mitch McConnell and Elaine Chao would be a much better example of a right leaning interracial DC power couple but even then the argument is too stupid to be taken seriously.
