What I don’t understand is why she got a third chance after the second consecutive cut’n’paste effort, ignoring instructions to avoid cut’n’paste after the first one. It was blatant spam.

Yeah, giving a spammer more than 2 chances seems well beyond Christian charity standards. Especially for us atheists.

I personally don’t see the harm in just making sure the person really is a spammer. It doesn’t cost anything, and it’s simple to deal with when it becomes clear they are a spammer. I’d rather let a borderline spammer have a shot and let 1-5 posts go than erroneously or prematurely ban a person who is a legitimate poster unaccustomed to the rules of the board.
