Seems like every summer, there’s a two-day wonder - a poster who jumps into a thread and makes a lot of preposterous claims, never backs up any of them, and babbles at length with a certain amount of erudition but zero interest in engaging anyone who disputes these assertions beyond insults and “because-I-say-sos”. These people drive you nuts, then get banned.
In summer 2017 it was SarahWitch: “This is right down my street, since I’m the premier expert on American law…” Sarah liked to throw out the term “nation-state” a lot but was vague about why it should have any relevance to constitutional law, and had some interesting things to say about how the Confederacy got a bum deal, since something-something-sovereignty of the People-something. Two days, then kicked off the playground.
