Well, this was looking like it was going to be a pretty good day. I’m done school for now, I could sleep in, and I was going shopping with my best buddies in the afternoon. Yep, it looked like it would be a pretty good day.
Well, I did sleep in, and then my one buddy came over later. We hung out for a bit, then we were gonna take his truck to get my other friend. Well, wouldn’t you know it, it was stuck. I pushed, he pushed, but it wouldn’t budge. There were snow ploughs waiting behind us, too. Finally, us, the snow plough guy, a woman from a house, and another guy managed to push it out.
At this point, the snow plough guy pointed out that the front tire wasn’t turning. Yep, you guessed it, the brakes were frozen. We got it onto a side road, but no success. We were already a half-hour late picking up our other friend, so he waited for a tow-truck while I went to pick up said friend.
Luckily, my car started (though it hadn’t been plugged in). This is extremely cold weather, so stuff like this happens, I thought. I also though, hmmm…my car’s making a lot of noise. I had forgotten my faceplate for my cd player, and all I could hear was this loud, dull rattling.
I got to my friend’s work, and he pointed out that sigh my back tire was flat. I had to replace the front tires a couple of months ago, and now this.
Well, I have never actually changed a tire before. I’ve helped, but never on my own. And my friend…he said it was too cold and went inside. So I had to change it alone. It took a while, but I managed. However, by that time I couldn’t feel my legs at all and my goatee was frozen solid. I can’t really afford new tires either, and all I’ve got on it now is one of thoses donuts. It’ll last for a little while, but I didn’t get any shopping done & now I need a new tire.
Not a very good day at all. Sorry, just had to vent a little.
